Description

The VOOPOO Drag 4 is a dual-18650 box mod that runs from 5 to 177 watts on the GENE.TT 2.0 chipset, paired with the 5.5mL UFORCE-L tank. Its temperature control suite covers nickel, titanium and stainless steel wire, and the tank takes every coil in the PnP series including the RBA, so one kit handles restricted lung and mouth-to-lung vaping.

Because it runs on two removable cells rather than a built-in battery, the VOOPOO Drag 4 keeps going as long as you have charged 18650s to hand. Compatible batteries are sold separately, and the UFORCE-L tank is available on its own as a replacement.

For a tobacco pairing that keeps coils clean, run Special Blend or Virginia in 70/30. If you are weighing this against the newer model, note that the Drag 5 uses the separate PnP X coil platform instead, so coils do not carry across.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 runs from 5 to 177 watts on the GENE.TT 2.0 chipset and takes two 18650 batteries, which are not included. It ships with the 5.5mL UFORCE-L tank, whose top air inlet is designed to stop condensate and leaking. Other features include an ECO energy-saving mode, 5V/3A Type-C charging, a multi-function QS lock switch, and a TC mode that recognizes four common heating wire materials.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 takes every coil in the VOOPOO PnP series, including the PnP-RBA. The kit ships with a 0.2 ohm PnP-TW20 rated 40 to 55 watts and a 0.15 ohm PnP-TW15 rated 55 to 70 watts. The range runs from 0.15 ohm mesh for direct lung vaping down to the 1.2 ohm PnP-TR1 at 10 to 15 watts for mouth to lung, so the VOOPOO Drag 4 covers both styles from one tank.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 and the VOOPOO Drag 5 are both 177 watt dual-18650 mods, but they use different coil platforms and the coils are not interchangeable. The VOOPOO Drag 4 ships with the UFORCE-L tank and takes the original PnP coils. The Drag 5 ships with the UFORCE-X tank and takes PnP X coils instead. If you already own PnP coils, the VOOPOO Drag 4 is the one that keeps them useful.

Black Note 70/30 VG/PG e-liquids pair well with the VOOPOO Drag 4. Run Special Blend or Virginia on the 0.3 ohm PnP-VM1 coil at 32 to 40 watts for a warmer, tobacco-forward draw, or on the 0.2 ohm PnP-TW20 at 40 to 55 watts if you want more vapor. Stay toward the lower end of each coil’s band when vaping tobacco, because pushing a coil hard mutes the subtler notes in a naturally extracted blend.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 measures 52.4 x 25.4 x 89 mm and is built from leather with zinc alloy and either wood or resin, so each unit differs slightly. Output power is 5 to 177 watts, output voltage is 3.2 to 8.4 volts, and the resistance range is 0.05 to 3.0 ohm. Charging is 5V/3A over USB Type-C. The VOOPOO Drag 4 requires two 18650 batteries, which are not included.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 standard package contains the Drag 4 device, the UFORCE-L tank at 5.5mL, one 0.2 ohm PnP-TW20 coil, one 0.15 ohm PnP-TW15 coil, a 5.5mL bubble glass, a silicon rubber pack, a Type-C cable and a user manual. Batteries are not included. The TPD version ships a 2mL tank instead, and that 2mL straight glass is not interchangeable with the 5.5mL version.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 improves on the Drag 3 in a few concrete ways. It uses the GENE.TT 2.0 chipset rather than the earlier GENE chip, which adds the ECO energy-saving mode and the new TC mode. It adds a customizable QS lock switch for locking wattage, locking the device, or powering on and off. The VOOPOO Drag 4 also ships with the UFORCE-L tank and takes the full PnP coil range including the RBA.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 ships with the VOOPOO UFORCE-L tank. It holds 5.5mL in the bubble glass, or 2mL in the TPD version, and is built from stainless steel and Pyrex. It fills from the top by unscrewing the cap, uses a triple air inlet with a 360-degree adjustable airflow ring, and installs coils by press fit. The UFORCE-L tank on the VOOPOO Drag 4 accepts every PnP coil including the RBA.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 performs well with naturally extracted tobacco e-liquids that contain no added sweeteners. Heavily sweetened e-liquids can gunk a PnP coil within two to three days. Black Note Special Blend and Special Blend 3.0 are made specifically to reduce coil buildup through an additional filtration step and contain no added sweeteners. Used in the VOOPOO Drag 4, these typically extend coil life to one to two weeks under normal daily use.

The VOOPOO Drag 4 can be shipped to California. It is hardware, not a flavored e-liquid product, so it is not subject to California’s flavored tobacco shipping restrictions.     This is my second drag4. I love the weight, it's perfect! They give you a good color selection and the taste it gives you is outstanding. As a new vapor it is easy to use and changing the coil is flawless! I would definitely recommend. Black note has the best prices all around from kits, liquids and batteries. One stop shopping at its best!

    Bubble glass breaks easily

    The Voopoo Drag 4 has some weight to it. It works well as a vaping device, however, the bubble glass broke very easily and the glass shatters when it breaks. My Drag 4 simply tilted over while on a table and the bubble glass shattered. I’m using a spare bubble glass, but I have a feeling I will need additional replacements. The device easily tilts over and the glass breaks easily.
