I got this as part of the “sampler pack.” I like Blacknote products. So far the only other flavor I tried was “Virginia.” I liked it, but I ordered it with too much of a nicotine content, and that was totally my fault. This “American” might be just a tad too sweet for my tastes, but it’s certainly not bad! I might come back and edit this review after I try the other flavors. So far, I haven’t seen Blacknote products carried by any retailers, which is a shame. I find it difficult to obtain any e-juice that has a decent tabacco flavor, other than Blacknote. I don’t vape “watermelon bubble gum” or any of that jazz. Thanks.

I’ve been searching for an e-liquid that’s true tobacco flavor without any no fruit or candy sweetener flavors added and Blacknote delivered on spot! the American blend has a true smoky aroma just like a regular cigarette. If you are looking for something that has a touch of sweetness then go for the Turkish Blend. The only complain I have is I wish it has more throat hits! The competitor brand “Four Seasons” offers the same tobacco experience that has a strong throat hits feels just like a real cigarettes but has less smoky aroma like Blacknote. so If Blacknote can add more throat hit into your e-liquid then it’s a 10 stars products! I will definitely be repurchasing again.

I initially enjoyed the juice, but I started to notice that the juice turned very dark brown only hours later in my device cartridge. The taste became harsh, sweet and thick. I been vaping for 15 year now (after 40 years of a pack-a-day smoking habit) and have literally tried hundreds of different combinations of ejuice seeking the elusive cigarette taste.
For the past 5 years, I’ve only used naturally extracted tobacco ejuices.
Like David above, I’ve been mixing Virginia, Kentucky and Burley from BlackNote for the past couple of years.
When BlackNote launched American Blend, I was eager to try it but cautious in my optimism.
I was unable to vape the 50-50 VG/PG in my 510 rig but no problem with the 70-30.
Bottomline: NO MORE MIXING!!
I think the substitution of Oriental for Burley mimics a cigarette taste extremely well but let’s face it, NO ejuice can replicate that taste. However, American Blend comes the closest of any ejuice I’ve ever tried. And being able to vape it straight from the bottle is a big plus.
