If you like a strong, dark tobacco and most “tobacco” e-liquids taste thin or sweet to you, Kentucky is the bold one. It’s fire-cured tobacco, robust and intense, with a smoky, cigar-style depth. This is the heaviest, darkest blend we make.

It’s made the way all of our e-liquid is made: naturally extracted from real tobacco leaf, with no artificial flavors, no sweeteners, and no synthetic nicotine.

Choose your formulation

  • 50VG/50PG: the everyday version, smooth in MTL pods and low-wattage devices. 60mL. This is the all-day Kentucky for most people.
  • 70VG/30PG: more VG for bigger vapor in sub-ohm setups. 60mL.
  • Salt nicotine: smoother at higher strengths, made for pod devices. A good fit if you’re coming off a pack or more a day and want a stronger, easy pull. 30mL.

There are no sweeteners in any of them, so there’s less coil gunk and your coils last longer, whichever one you pick.

Where Kentucky comes from

Kentucky tobacco is fire-cured, hung over smoldering hardwood fires that give it a deep, smoky, robust character. Ours is fire-cured in Tuscany and naturally extracted from the real leaf, so what you taste is bold tobacco, not a flavoring built to imitate it.

What does Kentucky Tobacco taste like?

Robust, bold, and smoky. It’s the darkest, most intense blend we make, with a cigar-style depth, not a light or sweet tobacco.

Fire-cured Kentucky tobacco, cured over smoldering hardwood fires for a deep, smoky character, and naturally extracted from the real leaf. No artificial flavors, no sweeteners, and no synthetic nicotine.

50VG/50PG is smooth in MTL pods and low-wattage devices. 70VG/30PG has more VG for bigger vapor in sub-ohm setups. Salt nicotine comes in higher strengths and gives a smoother pull in pod devices. New to these numbers? VG (vegetable glycerin) and PG (propylene glycol) are the two liquids that make up every e-liquid, ours included. The ratio is just how much of each: more VG makes for thicker vapor and bigger clouds, more PG carries flavor and feels a little sharper.

Most people do best on the 50VG/50PG for an all-day vape. Pick 70VG/30PG if you use a sub-ohm device and want more vapor. Choose salt if you want a stronger, smoother hit in a pod. Still unsure? Take the Vape Quiz.

“Kentucky” refers to the fire-curing style, not only the origin. Ours is fire-cured in Tuscany, which gives it that robust, smoky character. The page address still says legato, our original name for it; same blend, same liquid.

Freebase (50VG/50PG and 70VG/30PG) comes in 0, 3, 6, 12, and 18 mg in a 60mL bottle. Salt nicotine comes in 20, 30, and 50 mg in a 30mL bottle.

    The real Marlboro Gold Ejuice

    After smoking for 10 years, it's been 7 years since I started vaping this e-liquid, and I've tried countless other ejuices that claim to come close to smoking, but this is the only one that actually does. I just hope they don't discontinue this because I would not know what to do without it. Use an MTL device with a higher ohm and take slow drags.

    Perfect

    Oh man, this is just perfect in my OXVA XLIM Pro 2 with 0.6ohm cartridge in 23W. The tobacco flavor and smokiness are just at the exact amount and combination. Kentucky becomes sweet in my sub-ohm tanks with 0.15ohm coils, so note this as the wattages get higher (I use GeekVape Z XM and PnP TW15 coils at 70W and 65W, respectively). Kentucky actually gets to have a flavor that I would call "sophisticated". Hard to describe. You have to try it. Black Note 70/30 VG/PG blends with explicitly claimed/stated clean and the best ingredients are indeed one of a kind and the best. Only brand who does this in the world. Cheers

    One of my go to’s

    Kentucky, it has a vibe to it. It makes me feel like I’m in Mississippi, it’s morning time, sun is coming up.. you’re standing out there soaking it all in. The throat hit, the taste… bro.. it feels like home that’s all I can say. It is legit, just good. 2nd only to the Burley, and as I hit it more it might top it!

    I am so very disappointed in Black Note

    ... for discontinuing Kentucky/Legato 50/50 e-liquid, the flavor I've been buying for three years. At their suggestion, I bought the "Special Blend" replacement flavor. It's awful with a chemical taste (couldn't even finish the first pod fill). I've been a loyal customer of Black Note, and tried every flavor except menthol. Kentucky is, was, & will be my favorite flavor. I want to continue using Black Note's products. It's a company I trust. But this sudden discontinuation of a long time flavor is very disappointing. I do so hope Black Note will bring it back.

    A favorite

    Kentucky is one of my favorite flavors. A true tobacco flavor that is very satisfying. As a former smoker, I am so grateful to Black Note for helping me stop smoking with their amazing e-liquids. Physically I feel SO much better since I switched to vaping Black Note products. I highly recommend Black Note to anyone who still smokes and wishes to switch to a much less harmful tobacco solution.

    Hands down the best tobacco EVER

    I smoked for 15 years, I don't want candy, I want smoke. I searched high and low for a GOOD tobacco flavor, I stumbled on a youtube channel that recommended Black Note. My wife and I only use Kentucky salt, closest you can get to a cigarette.
