The VOOPOO Drag 5 brings refined power and premium build quality to experienced vapers. Built around a dual 18650 battery platform (batteries not included), this mod pushes up to 177W through a sturdy zinc-alloy and leather body that feels as good as it performs. It runs on two 18650 cells, and while the onboard USB Type-C port will charge them, an external charger is the safer option for cell health over the long run. Spare cells should travel in a battery case, never loose in a pocket.

Paired with the UFORCE-X tank, the Drag 5 kit is ready to go right out of the box. The tank holds 5.5mL of e-liquid, uses a slide top-fill system for mess-free refills, and supports the full PnP X coil range with easy press-fit installation. Two coils are included, a 0.15ohm and a 0.3ohm, so you can find your preferred vape right away.

At 32 to 40 watts on the 0.3ohm coil, the Drag 5 suits naturally extracted tobacco. Special Blend is the coil-friendly choice, with no added sweeteners. The VOOPOO Drag 5 requires two 18650 batteries, which are sold separately. For best performance and safety, use high-drain 18650 cells rated for at least 20A continuous discharge from reputable manufacturers. An external charger is recommended over the onboard USB Type-C charging for longer battery lifespan and more balanced cell charging.

Coil longevity on the VOOPOO Drag 5 depends on the e-liquid used. Heavily sweetened e-liquids tend to gunk coils within a few days. Naturally extracted tobacco e-liquids like Black Note Special Blend and Special Blend 3.0, which contain no added sweeteners, are designed to reduce coil buildup and typically extend coil life to one to two weeks under normal use. The PnP X coils use thermo-stable cotton that also contributes to longer coil intervals.

The VOOPOO Drag 5 includes six built-in safety protections: 8-second overtime cutoff, short-circuit protection, overcharge protection, output over-current protection, low battery warning, and chip over-temperature protection. The 3-in-1 flip switch also allows you to lock the firing button and wattage setting to prevent accidental activation in a pocket or bag.

The VOOPOO Drag 5 improves on the Drag 4 with a redesigned C-frame magnetic battery cover that replaces the traditional hinged steel door, making battery swaps faster and reducing contact wear. The Drag 5 also adds a built-in Battery Evaluation feature that monitors cell health over time. Both devices use the PnP X coil platform, but the Drag 5 ships with the upgraded UFORCE-X tank featuring top-mounted airflow for improved leak resistance.

The VOOPOO Drag 5 kit ships with the UFORCE-X tank and 0.15 ohm and 0.3 ohm coils, which are designed for direct-lung and restricted direct-lung vaping. The airflow does not close tightly enough for a true mouth-to-lung draw. For MTL use, purchase the PnP X Pod Tank MTL accessory and a higher-resistance coil such as the 0.8 ohm or 1.0 ohm PnP X, which support tighter draws at lower wattage with salt nicotine.

Black Note freebase e-liquids in the 50/50 and 70/30 VG/PG ratios pair well with the VOOPOO Drag 5 using the included 0.3 ohm coil at 32 to 40 watts. This range preserves the nuance of naturally extracted tobacco flavors like Virginia, Cavendish, and American Blend. Black Note salt nicotine e-liquids can also be used if you pair the mod with a higher-resistance PnP X coil and the MTL pod tank accessory.

The VOOPOO Drag 5 is a hardware device and can be shipped to California through Black Note. California orders are shipped via GLS and require adult signature verification (21+).
