A small refillable pod with a 50/50 or salt e-liquid gives the closest thing to a cigarette: a tight mouth-to-lung draw, a real throat hit, and a moderate amount of vapor rather than big clouds. It won’t be identical to a cigarette, but a naturally extracted tobacco taste gets you far closer than a synthetic “tobacco” flavor. No. Black Note has never made disposables. Our e-liquid goes in a refillable device, which costs less over time and lets you choose your blend and nicotine strength. Refillable gear works differently from a JUUL or a disposable, so if you’re coming from one of those, the Vape Quiz will point you to a simple pod that’s easy to live with.
American Blend is the closest you’ll get to a classic full cigarette taste, blended from Virginia, Burley, and Oriental tobaccos. Virginia is mellow and mildly sweet, closest to a light cigarette, and it’s our top seller. Special Blend is the coil-friendly version of that classic-cigarette profile. Short version: if you’re switching from cigarettes or using a small pod, nicotine salt (usually 20 to 50mg) is the smooth, satisfying choice. If you’re an experienced vaper on a bigger device, freebase (3 to 12mg) is the typical pick. Salt is smoother at high strength; freebase gives a stronger throat hit at lower strength. A harsh salt usually means the strength is too high for your device, or it’s a synthetic, additive-heavy juice. Two fixes: step the strength down (50mg to 30mg, or 30mg to 20mg), and switch to a naturally extracted tobacco with no synthetic flavorings or sweeteners to scratch the throat. It’s about your device and the draw you want. 50/50 (and salt) wicks in small pods, gives a tighter, more cigarette-like draw, and a stronger throat hit. 70/30 makes thicker vapor and bigger clouds and needs a sub-ohm tank or larger device. Special Blend and Special Blend Menthol are the most coil-friendly in the Black Note line, and V by Black Note is coil-friendly across the board. Because we use no sweeteners, our e-liquids gunk coils more slowly than sweet, synthetic juices. The richest traditional blends carry natural tobacco oils that leave more residue over time, which is the trade-off for the most authentic flavor.

For the most cigarette-like experience, use a small refillable MTL pod with a coil of 1 ohm or higher, run under about 15 watts, paired with 50/50 or salt e-liquid. For bigger clouds, a sub-ohm tank or mod with 70/30. The Vape Quiz recommends a device based on your answers.
Most pods open at the mouthpiece or a fill port, not the bottom, and the exact method differs by device. Each product page has an unboxing and how-to video worth a quick look. A couple of tips: don’t overfill, and wait about five minutes after filling before your first puff so the coil can absorb the liquid. JUUL and similar closed-pod devices use sealed, pre-filled pods that aren’t designed to be refilled, so we don’t recommend it. A simple refillable pod is inexpensive and gives you a much better experience with our e-liquid. We’re happy to point you to one.
Use 70/30. It’s made for sub-ohm tanks and larger coils (below about 0.5 ohms). Running 50/50 or salt in a sub-ohm device can taste harsh and deliver too much nicotine, and running 70/30 in a small pod won’t wick properly. Match the ratio to the device.
Coil gunk is residue that builds up as e-liquid vaporizes, and over time it causes a burnt taste. Sweeteners and heavy artificial flavors are the worst offenders, which is why our no-sweetener e-liquids are gentler on coils than sweet juices. Our richest traditional blends still leave some natural residue, the trade-off for real flavor. Special Blend is the coil-friendly pick. Prime a new coil before use and don’t run it dry.

No. We’ve also tested for ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, 2,3-pentanedione, acetaldehyde, acetoin, acetone, and acrolein. Because we don’t use artificial flavors or sweeteners, the byproducts that come with them aren’t in our e-liquid.

Naturally extracted tobacco produces taste, not aroma. There’s no synthetic flavoring to throw off a strong scent, so you get real tobacco taste without the lingering smell.
It’s the natural flavor drawn out of real tobacco leaves. We steep the leaves slowly and cold, a process called cold maceration, so the flavor compounds release without cooking, then we filter and bottle the result. A small share of people are sensitive to propylene glycol. If you are, our 70/30 blends are higher in VG and lower in PG, which some people tolerate better. If you have a known PG allergy, check with your doctor first.
Yes. Our e-liquids don’t contain gluten.
Our 0mg blends are made without added nicotine. Because the flavor comes from real tobacco extract, there can be trace natural compounds, but no nicotine is added.
Store it upright in a cool, dark place, away from heat and direct sun. Kept that way, our e-liquid lasts a long time, and the tobacco flavor can even mellow with age. Cold won’t ruin it; just let it return to room temperature and give it a gentle shake before use.

You’ll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships. Tracking sometimes pauses for a day or two between carrier scans, which is normal. If it hasn’t moved in several days, or it shows delivered but you don’t have it, reply to your order email or text us and we’ll chase it down.

A charge that looks like a double is almost always a temporary authorization that drops off in a few business days. We only capture payment once. We accept returns within 30 days on unused, unopened items. For safety, opened e-liquid can’t be returned. If we shipped the wrong item, we’ll exchange it free.
