What makes it Special Blend is what happens after extraction. The liquid goes through an extra distillation and micro-filtration step that removes the plant particles and heavier residues, and that does two things: it makes the taste smoother and cleaner, and it makes the liquid easy on coils.

In the mouth it is smooth, familiar, and not sweet. Reviewers use “smooth” more than any other word, and when they say “sweet” it is to say there is none of the candy sweetness they found elsewhere. It is lighter than American Blend by design. If you want the fullest, richest cigarette taste we make and do not mind changing coils more often, American Blend is that; Special Blend is the same lane tuned for all-day pod use. Between our two menthols the same split holds: Special Blend Menthol is the coil-friendly version of Menthol Tobacco, made with the same purification step.

Strengths shown in the selector change with stock. No single number fits everyone, and a higher number is not a better choice. If you smoked lights, 3 or 6 mg in 50VG/50PG is a sensible first bottle. If you smoked a pack or more a day and want a pod, start at 20 mg salt. Move one step at a time from there.

Special Blend contains no artificial flavors, added sweeteners, diacetyl, acetyl propionyl, acetoin, characterizing flavors, dyes, or synthetic nicotine. The 0 mg option contains no nicotine. Light and Full share the same ingredient list; the difference is the amount of tobacco character carried through, not an added flavor.
