Running the Geekvape L200 long term means keeping spares in. The kit tank takes the Geekvape Z Series coils, and if you want a second Z-platform tank the Z Sub-Ohm Tank shares that coil family. The full Geekvape range covers the rest of the line.

FAQ's

What batteries does the Geekvape L200 use?

The Geekvape L200 runs on two external 18650 batteries at 7.4 volts, and they are sold separately. Geekvape rates the board to a maximum 45 amps and 12 volts of output, so use a pair of high drain cells from the same batch and charge them together. Always inspect the wraps before loading them. The Geekvape L200 charges over its Type-C port, though an external charger is the better habit for cell longevity.

The Geekvape L200 adjusts from 5 watts up to 200 watts and handles atomizer resistances from 0.1 ohm to 3 ohms. That range covers everything from a restricted lung draw on a higher resistance coil to full power cloud production on a low resistance mesh. Geekvape lists maximum output at 12 volts and 45 amps. Most users settle somewhere between 45 and 80 watts with the coils that ship in the Geekvape L200 kit.

The Geekvape L200 ships with the Z Sub-ohm 2021 tank, which takes the Geekvape Z Series coil range. Geekvape lists support for the Z0.15, Z0.2, Z0.25 DC and Z0.4 heads. The kit includes a 0.2 ohm coil pre-installed, rated 70 to 80 watts, plus a 0.25 ohm dual mesh spare rated 45 to 57 watts. Keep spare Z Series coils on hand, since the Geekvape L200 tank is only as good as the head inside it.

Coil buildup on the Geekvape L200 comes from the e-liquid, not the device. Heavily sweetened e-liquids caramelize on the mesh and gunk a coil within a few days. Naturally extracted tobacco e-liquids like Black Note Special Blend and Special Blend 3.0 contain no added sweeteners and go through an extra filtration step, so they keep the Geekvape L200 Z Series coils cleaner and typically extend coil life to one to two weeks. Cleaner juice means clearer flavor for longer.

Yes. Black Note freebase tobacco e-liquids in the 70/30 VG/PG ratio suit the Geekvape L200 well. Run them through the 0.2 ohm Z Series coil at roughly 70 to 80 watts, or the 0.25 ohm dual mesh at 45 to 57 watts, both of which ship in the kit. For a naturally extracted tobacco taste try Black Note Newest Virginia or the coil-friendly Special Blend. Because Black Note adds no sweeteners, coils in the Geekvape L200 stay cleaner for longer.

Yes. The Geekvape L200 is vaping hardware with no e-liquid or nicotine, so it ships to California and every state Black Note serves. Black Note offers free U.S. shipping on orders over $60, and over $100 for California, where a flat $9.99 option with adult signature via GLS is also available. Every order still requires age verification at checkout, since you must be 21 or older to buy vaping products from Black Note.

The Geekvape L200 carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, which is the second generation of the Geekvape tri-proof construction and a step up from the IP67 rating on the previous Legend. Geekvape also rates it for higher shock resistance. The chassis pairs a silicone shell with leather panels, and the charging port sits behind a flip cover. Geekvape lists a working temperature range from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius for the L200.

A-Lock is the physical lock switch on the Geekvape L200. Slide it down and the fire button is disabled, which stops the coil firing by accident while the device is in a pocket or a bag. Slide it back up and the Geekvape L200 is ready to vape. It is a useful habit on any dual battery mod running to 200 watts, because an accidental press against a full tank can burn a coil out.

The Geekvape L200 kit includes the Geekvape Z Sub-ohm 2021 tank. Standard editions hold 5.5 milliliters and a 2 milliliter version ships in TPD markets, with a spare glass tube in the box. The tank fills from the top, uses a leakproof top airflow design, and Geekvape widened both the fill port and the airway over the previous version. A spare parts pack and a coil tool are included with the Geekvape L200.

The Geekvape L200 uses a 1.08 inch TFT color screen, which is larger than the display on the original Legend and shows wattage, resistance, puff data and battery status. Charging is over a Type-C port hidden behind a flip cover, so the seal that gives the L200 its IP68 rating stays intact. Geekvape lists a storage temperature range from minus 20 to 60 degrees Celsius, so the Geekvape L200 tolerates a cold van or a hot car.

    First impressions are good

I just picked up the GEEKVAPE L200 at my local vape shop in Las Vegas "Vape Street". My first impression was how much lighter it was compared to the older version. The tank design is vastly different with the air vent at the top of the tank, though it wasn't too difficult to prime the coil. The flavor is far superior to anything I've used in the past.
