SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods are 4.5mL side-fill replacement pods for the SMOK Nord 4, sold three to a pack. Choose the RPM version for original SMOK RPM coils or the RPM 2 version for RPM 2 coils, and every pod in the pack is that version. The pods ship empty, so coils are bought separately and press into the base of the pod.

Compatible with: the SMOK Nord 4 Pod Kit. The RPM version takes SMOK RPM coils and the RPM 2 version takes SMOK RPM 2 coils.

Not for the Nord 5, Nord 6, Nord GT, or Nord X: the Nord 5 uses Nord 5 pods (RPM 3 coils), the Nord 6 uses Nord 6 pods, and the Nord X uses Nord X pods.

Pair with: Special Blend or Virginia, in Black Note salt nicotine and 50/50 e-liquids for MTL coils, or Black Note 70VG/30PG e-liquids for the 0.16 ohm RPM 2 mesh coil.

SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods (4.5mL, 3-Pack)

SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods are the replacement pods for the SMOK Nord 4 Pod Kit. Each pod holds 4.5mL of e-liquid and comes in the same two versions that ship with the kit: an RPM pod, supplied in the kit with an RPM Mesh 0.4 ohm coil, and an RPM 2 pod, supplied with an RPM 2 Mesh 0.16 ohm coil.

RPM and RPM 2 coils are different sizes and are not interchangeable, so pick the pod version that matches the coils you use. Both versions fill from the side through a port sealed with a rubber stopper, the clear pod body shows the e-liquid level, and the pod attaches to the Nord 4 magnetically.

The pods ship without coils. Press a coil into the base of the pod, prime it, and the pod is ready to fill.

SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods fit the SMOK Nord 4. They do not fit the Nord 5, which uses its own pods with RPM 3 coils, or the Nord 6, Nord X or RPM 2, which each have their own pods. Check that your device says Nord 4 before ordering SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods, because several SMOK pods look alike but will not seat in the wrong body.

Both versions of SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods hold 4.5mL and fit the same Nord 4. The only difference is the coil they take: the RPM version takes original SMOK RPM coils and the RPM 2 version takes SMOK RPM 2 coils. The two coil series are different sizes, so an RPM 2 coil will not seat in the RPM version of SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods, and the reverse is also true.

The RPM version of SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods takes SMOK RPM coils, which Black Note stocks in 0.3 ohm MTL mesh, 0.4 ohm mesh, 0.6 ohm triple and 1.0 ohm. The RPM 2 version takes SMOK RPM 2 coils, stocked in 0.16 ohm mesh, 0.25 ohm DC and 0.6 ohm DC MTL. Pick the version of SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods that matches the coil series you already use.

The wattage depends on the coil you fit in SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods, not the pod. The RPM 2 0.16 ohm mesh coil is rated 25 to 50W and the RPM 2 0.6 ohm DC MTL coil 12 to 25W. On the RPM side, the 0.4 ohm mesh coil runs at around 25W and the 1.0 ohm coil at around 14W. Start low on a fresh coil in SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods and raise the power to taste.

SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods do not cause coil buildup on their own; the e-liquid does. Heavily sweetened e-liquids can gunk a coil within a few days, while naturally extracted tobacco e-liquids typically let a coil last one to two weeks under normal use. Black Note Special Blend, in Light Tobacco Flavor and Full Tobacco Flavor (Special Blend 3.0), has no added sweeteners and goes through an additional filtration step, which is why we recommend it for longer life from SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods.

For a tighter draw, fit a 1.0 ohm RPM coil in the RPM version of SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods, set the Nord 4 to around 14W and use a Black Note salt nicotine e-liquid such as Special Blend or Virginia. For more vapor, fit a 0.16 ohm RPM 2 mesh coil in the RPM 2 version at 25 to 50W with Black Note 70VG/30PG at a low nicotine strength.

Pull the pod off the Nord 4, then press a coil firmly into the base of SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods until it seats. Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton, open the rubber side stopper and fill the pod, then close it. Let the pod stand for about five minutes so the wick saturates, and start at the low end of the coil’s rated range in SMOK Nord 4 Empty Pods.
