I thought I would not care for menthol, but Black Note’s Solo changed all that. First Black Note has great tasting Virginia tobacco used in three out of the six vaping liquids they carry and this is one of them. Solo is smooth and leaves you with a refreshing breath. Have Searched the World Over…
In a previous review of this fabulous Black Note Solo, I titled it “Solo Keeps me Vaping” or words to that effect. Nearly a year later and it’s still true! What I don’t remember saying is that I’ve literally searched the world over, having different e-liquid flavors imported from overseas. Recently I tried a dozen more flavors (9 from one NET Black Note competitor, 3 from another). Tho I’ve tasted some mighty fine e-liquids, none of them even begin to compare to the taste and satisfaction I get from Black Note Solo!! One more point I’d like to make in case it may help someone else, is that I started vaping with a manual battery, using a clearomizer. Then I moved up to an all-in-one type device, and Solo tasted even better. Still there were “Notes” from my Solo that were elusive, so I finally took the plunge and bought an authentic Svoemesto Kayfun Mini v.3 rebuildable. It wasn’t as difficult to make coils and wicks as I’d made out in my mind, and I feel like I’ve finally maximized the flavor of my Black Note Solo! (BTW, I vape mouth to lung on very low wattage using 1.5-1.8 ohm coils, as too much heat seems to make Solo taste not nearly as good for me, tho your experience may be different). Only problem with the amazing flavor I’m getting now, is that I’ve almost doubled the amount of Solo that I’m vaping, lol! So I’m now waiting for a sale to really stock up, which brings me to my last point and the ONLY negative: as much as I love the packaging, I’d personally fore-go it for less expensive packaging to help bring the cost of Solo down. But please don’t get rid of this flavor OR change it even a tiny bit!

I was excited for this one as I smoke menthol and bought the Instrumental sampler and saved it for last. I’m definitely disappointed though, as it claims to be a menthol blend but there’s no actual menthol within it, none that I can detect at least. As the headline suggests it tastes like a smokey candy cane with obvious peppermint notes and an indiscernible tobacco flavor. I cannot possibly rate these any lower than 4 stars though because of the absolute quality of the product. Even though the flavor is a hit or miss and hard to detect, the process of creation, absence of notorious chemicals, inimitable and unique flavor make this by far, one of the best quality products in the e-juice market. The flavor might not be up your alley but if you’re willing to sacrifice in the name of purity then these are your juices.

Out of all the new flavors I’ve tried recently Solo is the best! It is a true menthol tobacco flavor. I get a strong cooling menthol on both the inhale and exhale which is exactly what I was looking for, and it doesn’t just leave you hanging with a mouth full of mint wondering where your tobacco is. Those flavors come through noticeably as well, some nice earthly notes, dry, a classic Virginia menthol tobacco.

The Only “REAL” Menthol Tobacco E-liquid
I had been a menthol smoker for 33+ years and on my 49th birthday decided I was done with it. I want to be around for my kids and grand kids a little longer. I was a 12-15 Newport menthol cigarette smoker for over 30 years. I started vaping 3 years ago, trying all sorts of flavors and found of of the liquids consistency was messing. SOLO is the only menthol option offered, but I have to admit it is the closest to lighter menthol tobacco flavor that I have found. No tobacco residue on your vehicle windows, no tobacco smells in bedded in your clothes or skin, but most of all for the vapors, no thick oily liquids to clog up your coils every week. When I found this ejuice at a local shop, I was beyond excited. I used to smoke menthols, and the thought of a true tobacco flavour with a minty overtone is exactly what I crave. However, I find the mintiness overpowering, and can’t even detect the tobacco. It still tastes nice and fresh, but definitely not what I expected – the mint is just too strong to be able to get the tobacco flavour.

By the time I tried Black Note Solo I was feeling really lackluster about vaping. It had been very difficult for me as a former smoker to find a really good menthol and tobacco vape that I found satisfying. And as much as I enjoy fruit, vaping fruity flavors did not interest me. So ordering the Solo was pretty much a last ditch effort. When I first drew on it, I thought “hmmmm, but not enough tobacco,” and by the end of the second tank (< 2 ml each) I was getting lots of fabulous tobacco notes and a really nice menthol that didn't taste syrupy or like an ice cube. I really wish I could describe Solo's flavors better for you, but it's made the difference for me - am still vaping and now I'm really enjoying it. Thank you Black Note and all it's employees!!

Incredible Mix with Forte
I just love vaping Forte, it has a very smooth and clean taste. But I wanted to mix things up a bit for variety. I ordered 2 bottles of Solo of 0 nicotine to mix with my 3 & 6 nics of Forte. Well..what a nice surprise! Just that little hint of menthol was wonderful. I turned my watts down a bit, and it almost makes me want to switch to Solo. I will always keep a bottle or two on hand. I feel like I’m smoking a big hit of Vick vapor rub and just can’t stand it. However, when I tried Solo, it was actually nice. It wasn’t over powering and didn’t make me feel like I just sucked a glob of vicks. I mixed it with my prelude, and I can see myself doing this on a regular basis to get that heavier hit it a tint of mint. I don’t know about anyone else, but back in my drinking days, I would sometimes smoke a friends menthol cigarettes when I’d get a bit buzzed to actually feel the hit. This would be a perfect substitute for that for anyone else who does this. I don’t drink anymore, but will definitely mix this with prelude just to get a bit change of scenery once in a while. Highly recommend!

A flavor I don’t get sick of
After vaping a few bottles of this juice now I’m amazed how I Love even more now than when I first tried it. That really says a lot, nearly every juice I’ve vaped in the past, including ones that were favorites eventually grew old. Really speakers to the pure taste from this high quality liquid.

Menthol has never been my preference so I gave this bottle from my sample box to my husband. I happened to try it and was surprised at how much this compared to actual menthol flavored tobacco. My husband had smoked American Spirit menthol prior to switching to vaping and Solo is almost identical to the taste.

Just started vaping to help quit a heavy Newport addiction and all the fruit and desert flavors were a little too much for me. Just tried the solo for the first time and all I can say is wow. Taste so much like a menthol cig I am now no longer craving the real thing. Black note is well worth the premium price since your getting a premium product.

WOW!!! I was absolutely blown away by this e-juice. I’ve not been a menthol smoker in more than 16yrs.. I lost the taste for it, years ago. I literally would get sick to my stomach, if I would smoke a menthol cigarette. I originally purchased the sample pack, that had Solo in it, so that my husband could try it. As long as he continues to smoke, I am going to want to smoke as well. I am desperately trying to break a habit that I have had for more than 20 yrs. I know that Black Note is the way to go,(along with will power) but hes gotta stop too, so I am not around cigarette’s constantly. He likes Menthol cigarettes…err should I say he prefers them. He really loved the Quartet, but it being just a ample bottle of it, he ran out & went straight back to smoking. Plus he said, even though he love the Quartet flavor, he really would prefer having a menthol flavor to stop smoking on. Knowing he is picky too, on tobacco flavors & even though, so far Black note has not disappointed, I wasn’t sure if he would really like the Solo, so I bought the sample kit, that had it in it. OMG, it was amazing in flavor. He loves it, & I even love it. It is VERY smooth & light in menthol flavor. It has that sweet, yet not overly sweet menthol taste. It reminds me a bit of those small candy cane’s. Though, its not so in your face with the peppermint. It is a clean, soft taste. It is really hard to explain exactly what I mean. you will have to give it a try, if you are looking for a menthol flavor. 5+ stars for this flavor.

Smooth and Fresh
This is the best menthol eliquid I’ve ever used in the last five years I’ve been vaping. I’ve tried several different menthol eliquids, but I was always disappointed: most were too harsh to be enjoyable or an ADV. Most taste like you’re vaping toothpaste and require replacing your coils or rewicking afterwards if you want to vape a different flavor.
Not Black Note’s Solo. Solo is a smooth, fresh, clean menthol vape. The menthol tastes natural; it’s not harsh and can either be enjoyed as an after dinner vape or an ADV. The best part: I can dry-burn clean my wicks and switch out eliquids with no lingering menthol taste.
If you’ve been disappointed by other mentholated, I highly recommend giving Solo a try as it is an excellent menthol vape. It won’t disappoint.

Better than you think
If I had found this before cigarettes, I never would of started. I’m a citrus person myself but there are many times that make me want to go back to analogs, and this takes care of the craving.
