The Oriental tobacco used has its roots in Basma or Izmir, characterized by small leaves, low nicotine levels, and a delicate fragrance with a balmy taste. Tobacco farming entered Anatolia in the early 1600s as a result of trade with Venetian merchants. Fast-forward to the 19th century, Egyptian soldiers, receiving tobacco in their daily rations for morale boosting, invented cigarettes by filling empty gunpowder wrapping paper tubes with tobacco. Agreed with the other reviewers here. I get a very clean and crisp mint, not menthol. The mint itself is on the verge of overpowering when used in a dripper, with a gradual fade into the delicious background tobacco flavors. The vape is more balanced in a clearomizer. This is very refreshing on a hot Summer day. Another home run for the folks at Black Note!

If you vape on a dripper, the mint is definitely on the verge of overpowering, with a gradual fade to the delicious background tobacco flavors. There’s more balance in a clearomizer. One thing for sure, the Solo is very refreshing in the heat of the Summer. Amazing job to the folks at Black Note!

Not Menthol But Mint
When I got the variety pack, the only flavor I was leery of trying was Solo. When I was a smoker years ago, I could not stand menthol cigarettes. They tasted harsh, and gave me a headache if I smoked very many in a row. When I read the description of Solo, I was pretty sure I wouldn’t care for it. Well, I finally bit the bullet and tried it, and wow, was I wrong. The flavor that comes through is a clean, minty flavor. Most definitely not the menthol I had stored in my aging memory. This clean minty taste with a hint of tobacco is the most refreshing vape you can imagine. I kind of figured I would only use it when I had a cold or when the sinus’s were kicking up. Wrong again. I vape this on a daily basis, and really enjoy it. If you are on the fence about menthol, but love spearmint, try Solo. You will be happy you did. Very nice product.

Crisp Mint
I know the description of this liquid is menthol, but I get a Strong mint. It is extremely clean, crisp and refreshing. Because of the nature of menthol/mint, you cannot taste the tobacco base. Solo does not completely dull the taste buds like menthol flavors can. Not a flavor profile I would vape regularly, but would greatly appeal to a mint fanatic. Leaves a cool fresh sensation on the tongue.

I vaped solo with a kanger tech t3s with a 2.5 ohm wick. I have tried so many menthol and mint vapes from all kinds of companies. Many too minty, too much aftertaste, and too much coughing. Trust me this is the bomb. Nice smooth throat hit, subtle hint of menthol on the inhale, and smooth on the exhale. Leaves just a slight bit of menthol/ cooling in the mouth and throat. I must say that this has to be the best vape I have ever tried. I can finally say that I am done smoking the salemn lights that I have been smoking for 20 plus years. Black note you nailed it. Let me say this.. “I hate menthols.” This one changed my mind about this like witnessing an alien abduction!!!
-On the first puff; I knew this one was off the charts! This puts Halo’s Kringle’s Curse to shame! The mild realistic blend of natural warmth & real peppermint oils, intermingle with the Virginia/Burley base flavor. It leaves you with the most wonderful natural aromatic peppermint flavor on your tongue. I used to smoke Nat Sherman Hint Of Mint, BEFORE they changed the decades old recipe due to the PACT act. This reminds me of those vintage cigarettes EXACTLY!! HOLY COW IS THIS JUICE A WORK OF ART FROM GOD. I am speechless at how great this eliquid is. Easily an all day vape. The menthol i’ve been looking for!
I started vaping 2 years ago. Before i started vaping i was smoking menthol cigarettes and using chewing tobacco (often at the same time), the day i started vaping i quit both chew’ and cigarettes. I’ve spent the last 2 years vaping on different “menthol” e-liquids looking for one that had the flavor i wanted. Yesterday i received my Black Note Solo in the mail and yesterday i finaly found the flavor i wanted. Solo is the Menthol e-liquid for me and those of you looking for that spot on menthol taste.

Best menthol e-liquid available.
This is the best menthol e-liquid available. The menthol is not overpowering and doesn’t taste chemically like other menthol liquids. If you are on the fence about trying this flavor, please buy a bottle. This is the only menthol e-juice I will be using in the future. Yes, the price is high but if you want a vape that is truly superior to any menthol out there then you must try this.
