I’m writing this as a Solo review because, it involves Solo and, I don;t know where else to comment about Black Note customer satisfaction (besides the amazing products). By now I am a dedicated Solo user. it’s just about the only flavor I smoke. Even if I want a change of pace with Prelude, Sonata and Legato or what’s left of my Bravura stash – (will we ever see it again?) – I still mix it up with some Solo. I’m a menthol guy. If you’re on this site more than once, you know how awesome these liquids are and by mixing things up a bit the variety is awesome exponential. But what I want to talk about now is the customer service. A little while ago BN had an offer of “buy one and get your choice of a 30mil 0mg Nicotine flavor for free” and natch, I jumped on it. I bought an 18mg Solo and got a 0mg Solo. Mix them 50/50 and I got 9mg Solo. Perfect. Well the 0mg bottle cap seemed a little fussy and eventually it failed to grip and flipped open in my pocket and I realized it only after I smelled that beautiful menthol smell. I thought my atomizer was leaking but no. My pants were soaked with precious Solo. I wasn’t sure if it was my fault of if really the cap was not 100% so I merely inquired about it. I felt a little uncomfortable because, after all the 0mg bottle was free. I would have been happy just to have given a heads up to my favorite e-liquid gurus. Within 3 days I not only had a brand new 30ml 0mg Solo bottle but a 30ml 18mg Solo as well. BN just resent the entire order – for free. I’ve been pleasantly surprised in the past by finding a 10ml of something else just tossed into my order now and then when I opened the box, but this is really beyond the call. Nice Mild Mint Feel
As mentioned by some user that the mint is too strong but personally i feel great with Solo alone. There’s mild tobacco sense and some mint mix in between. For those who like to have stronger tobacco you can tried mixing Prelude and Solo together and they came out fantastic too.

Black Note was my first eliquid & Solo was my favorite of all, Forte coming in at a close tie. So I figured everyone made eliquid this good? Not even close. Just to experiment I purchased a favorably reviewed menthol burst from a major label; I tossed the bottle in the can after a few vapes, stuff tasted like crushed sweet tarts put it into water. Solo simply has no close competition, best real mint leaves vape on the market.

so this is the first time i have purchased what i would call quality fluid. usually i am hesitant to spend more on juice than i ever spent on cigarettes. however, thanks to the account points you can accrue to offset the cost the juice may not be anymore expensive than any other juice. also shipping was FAST, i will order again from black note because i feel like a priority. lastly, an actual menthol flavor that tastes like menthol instead of some jumped up cheerleader mixed drink is refreshing. i no longer have to feel like a sorority girl when i vape, but can consider myself a discerning connoisseur instead. and thats worth a little extra cash too.

Smooth and Pure!
This e-liquid is top-of-the-line. I’ve been vaping for a while and I vape nothing but menthol. Most of them seem like I am inhaling Vicks Vapor Rub, not this wonderful smooth flavor. I can tell the e-liquid is pure; I tend to cough with certain e-liquids, particularly if they are high VG; strange, I know, but this ratio 50/50 does not make me cough. I do wish that at some point you would consider being able to adjust PG/VG ratio; that would make it my dream e-liquid!

I was very excited to try this product as I read the great reviews. To get straight to point, this is not even close to the description. Both the Solo and Sonata taste the same, like nothing with faint taste of leaves( the solo with slight mint taste). Don’t know if it was a bad batch or out dated cause at the bottom of both bottles it had a 5/31/16 date( either packaged or expired). All I can say it’s not my device cause my other e-liquids other than black note are spot on with the flavor. These are my first 2 bottles from black note and will be my last.

Spectacular Music is Made
As a newcomer to the vaping world I was concerned about many things; Ingredients, Costs and of course Flavor. After much research I decided upon the V2 Series 3 pen vaporizer and made a selection of V2 juices. I reviewed others and noticed Black Note had a considerable amount of choices much along my own likes. I chose to stop at the Black Note site. I spent an hour or so rummaging through their media, researched some more and then ordered their Instrumenthol package of five flavors. The ingredients are unmatched from what I have read about in this market. Who wants “popcorn lung” or to quit smoking only to be injecting more harmful ingredients into their body? Apparently none of the Black Note customers! The cost seemed nominal and as we all are well aware, if you want natural or close to it ingredients in anything we ingest, you simply have to pay more. Their costs are absolutely well within expectations and now, as a Black Note lover, worth every dime! The flavor, now that was something I was new too. I typically and in most cases refuse to purchase anything I’m going to ingest online, especially given I’ve never tried it before. But, I was successful in my decision … The Solo juice is not just musical but a bouquet of flavor that much runs along the lines of pairing a $200 cigar to a fine Malt. The music played in my head and I’ve found that switching from smoking cigarettes to a vape, was a simple as playing music from Black Note’s pages. I’m sold. I’m not one who wants fruity flavors but a robust deep enjoyable taste that envelops you as you inhale. Truly a great choice if you’re looking to move to a quality brand.

Disappointed
I purchased the solo and was really disappointed I had a few friends who recommended it as a Kool filter king smoker for 25 years, It did have a good tobacco flavor but was not as good as other menthols E juices I have had, and the nicotine is just WAY TO WEAK 1.8 for a 2-pack a day KOOL smoker. The price is really high and I understand the trouble and expense incurred in producing small batch E juice like this but, I would pay any price to get off of the regular cigarettes still looking for one.

This product is great. There are several things I like about it. It has a very clean and smooth vapor, with the nicest hint of mint to it. It is not overwhelming like other mint juices I’ve tried in the past. The best thing I can say for this product is that it tastes clean. Some vape juice has a greasy feel to it but not Black Note, this stuff is pure and sweet. The packaging is also a nice touch, and shows that the brand is concerned about high quality. While it does not have much of a tobacco flavor (to me) it does still taste great. I am on my second bottle of Solo and will continue to buy more when this one runs out. Thanks to Black Note for putting out a clean, tasty, and quality product. I’d highly recommend this to anyone currently vaping anything other than Black Note.

As a former Newport Light smoker, Solo made it former, I could never find the satisfaction, the taste and sensation I craved until Solo. Best menthol tobacco blend on the market
I was finally able to completely quit smoking when I found Blacknote and tried Solo. It’s the perfect menthol tobacco blend, great by itself or mixed with another Blacknote juice (my favorites for this are Prelude and Sonata). Not too minty, very natural flavor, and decent throat hit, which is exactly what I was looking for being a former Newport smoker. Could not be more satisfied with their products and service.

Hands Down Best E-Juice out there!!!
First off I’m not the normal E-juice vaper. As a matter of fact I was severely opposed to vaping entirely. My thought process (and taste buds confirmed it) is that if I’m going to smoke I’m going to smoke a regular cigarette. Call me old fashion but smoking something that tastes like pixie stick or gummy bear makes no sense. Then my whole nicotine world got turned on it’s head last week when I read an article signing the praises of Black Note. I figured it was a fluff add but decided to do some digging and see what the consumers were saying about it. Review after review confirmed Black Note to be the real deal. So I took a leap of faith spent $80 on a mode set up and $30 for my first bottle of Solo. I’ve smoked a pack and a half a day for over a decade and within the first day of trying I smoked 6 cigarettes, 6!!! The Taste and flavor is unprecedented, I’ve had many friends over the last two years that have tried to beguile me with their fruity sugary flavors and ever one was a disappointment. Now I will no longer have to walk in the valley of the shadow of Bad-Vape-Juice. I will fear no artificial flavors. For Black Note is with me. But seriously what are you doing still reading this? Grab a bottle you won’t look back.

Interesting & Different
This is not like the menthol in a cigarette, therefore comparing would not be appropriate, and quite different. I am still new to vaping, still learning, still experimenting. I find this menthol to be refreshing & cooling-a real menthol. It is not my choice for vaping all day, rather on occasion, I prefer to taste my tobaccos straight up. But I do mix it with the Adagio which tends to be a little too cigar like hit on the back of my throat. Plus I am beginning to wonder if the 2 Kanger Tech e-cigs I have distort & kill taste by getting too hot, need to find a better e-cig. All in all I do enjoy keeping a bottle in my collection.

I really wanted to like the Solo e-liquid from Black Note. Love the process they use and the thought of it closely resembling a cigarette. I smoke Salem Slim 100s which is an extremely light cigarette. It has a small throat hit if that. Unfortunately, the throat hit on the Solo is just too strong for me (12mg of Nic). Another reviewer compared it to Newport Light and really liked it. If you want a somewhat strong throat hit and menthol e-liquid with less chemicals then what you will find out there, you will probably love it. Additionally, Black Note included a sample size of Prelude which was a nice touch, but I will be returning both the Solo and sample Prelude and continue searching. Still giving it four stars because of the quality of the product and manufacturing process.

All Around Winner
This is an all-around good menthol to vape, one which I have settled upon as my go-to juice to purchase above all others. All others I’ve purchased which claim to be “menthol” are juices which are non other than ones added with an inordinate amount of mint, producing a sickly sweet artificial taste which is hard to smoke on a daily basis. Solo is not one those juices, and even if you don’t like menthol you should at least try this once; perhaps you’d like it mixed with another BlackNote flavor, which is always something to try.

Smoked Newport Lights for years. Started vaping in 2009. Never found the flavor I was looking for even mixing my own. Decided to try Solo. Wow! I’m never looking back. Solo is a home run. Surprise in the notebook
I was never an every day menthol smoker, but I have smoked my share of them. I ordered the original style notebook which included Solo but really wasn’t interested in trying it. I have been trying to lock down an ADV, and something like Solo wasn’t on my list. Most liquids I have tried with with any mint have been overpowering and fake tasting. A number of sites listed Solo highly as an ADV, even for non-menthol smokers, so I decided to try it.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise. The mint flavor is crisp and clean, but not overpowering. You know it is in there from the start, but it doesn’t jump in front of the tobacco flavor and hide it. It carries the flavor, and while you feel the menthol hit your throat and your tongue, you still finish with that light, natural tobacco flavor. Still not sure if it’s going to be an all day vape for me, but it is in the running. Getting ready to order a full size bottle.

The Blacknote Solo has a mild menthol flavor. It’s refreshing without being too overwhelming. With a hint of mint flavor very subtle and without the sweetness attached to it. It leaves your mouth with a nice fresh aftertaste. The tobacco flavor isn’t as pronounced as the other flavors, but certainly has a tobacco undertone to it. I find Solo to have a thick rich satisfying cloud of nice menthol smoke.

Very Good
Was a heavy menthol light smoker, and wanted to cut back, so I ordered Solo e-liquid here and an innokin mod(online). Received the solo 10 days ago and have not smoked a real cigarette since then. I have tried 2 other brands and will say, if I had only tried them with the mod, the mod would be back in the box and I would still be smoking 2+ packs of cigs a day. This Solo is good stuff. Never thought I could actually quit smoking on some vapor liquid, but it is working great.

The name implies a stand alone flavor that stands out. Part of that is true, it stands out. This is my least favorite flavor, by far. I would give it four and a half stars if I could, because although it’s named Solo, it should be mixed with other flavors. On its own, it is way too strong, and has a strong “bite”. That being said; when you mix it, it makes every flavor an amazing menthol blend. If you want a menthol flavor experience that mimics menthol cigarettes, mixing Solo with any other flavor is as close to the real thing that you are going to find.

Simply the best, truest menthol I’ve ever tried. I honestly don’t know what else to say; when it comes to menthol juice, this is in a class of it’s own. X MENTHOL SMOKER
I add very little to Legato or one of the other choices. I bought the Notebook for a taste but I haven’t tried them thus far. Prelude and Forte so far and they suit me just fine. I wouldn’t waist your time or money on the fruity, sweet and all the other gimmicky juice if you’re getting off tobacco. I already made that mistake buying into donuts, yogurt, chocolate, etc.$$$ in the trash.

There are plenty of e-juice options out there that when combined with menthol give a fake overpowering taste. Black Note have hit a “home run” with this flavor. No additives or fake tastes here. From the first to the last drop it is extremely refreshing and realistic with no sweet after kick that often comes from flavored e-juice. The added bonus is that this juice is highly controlled in what is in it – the whole point of quitting smoking is to put less chemicals in your body and this juice helps during the quitting phase with strictly controlled chemistry. Great stuff – keep up the good work.

Ok I will start by saying I don’t regularly smoke menthol……but this was pretty good. It has a great smooth taste without that harsh overly cool taste of menthol cigarettes. I also used while I had a cold and made vaping easier during this time (no vape is a cure/treatment for a cold). On a sub-ohm it was even better. Great cool taste with that tobacco taste underneath. Felt more like mint and less like menthol. Solid blend

To be honest i was skeptical at first. I tried many “tobacco” e-liquids in the past. None of them ever came close to their claims about tasting like tobacco. Fortunately i stumbled upon Black Note. After reading about their process of tobacco extraction i was intrigued. I gotta say i am very happy with my order. They met their burden of proof. It tastes like a really good menthol cig. Absolutely love the Solo blend! Solo has a perfect blend of tobacco and subtle menthol flavor that’s tasty, but not totally in your face. I smoked Newports for years and started vaping to stop the madness. After going through dozens of liquids and never finding one that satisfied me – I eventually started smoking cigarettes again. While in Afghanistan, a friend gave me a bottle of Solo to try and Bam! – I was immediately hooked (in a good way – not like a junkie breaking into house to steel your stuff to satisfy my craving kind of way). Mint is not menthol. But menthol is mint.
It’s mint added with alcohol [-OH] initially formed as an analgesic and counter-irritant. It’s added in tobacco products to reduce throat irritation.
Some may say Solo is a weak menthol. I cannot wrestle with that argument.
What’s more liberating to know is that, SOLO is N.E.T. stabilized by proportional aliquots of menthol not only as an added flavor, but to soothe the throat.
Yes, I connote “stabilized.”
At the end of the day, it’s an ideal prescription for a vaper’s tongue who still loves tobacco.
And at the end of the day, no one can argue to find a better menthol N.E.T.

Nice change up
I was not a menthol smoker but occasionally bought a pack. Once I started vaping instead, I had tried some super menthol straight from a high volume e juice provider, mixing with a fake tobacco flavor to try to eliminate the too sweet sensation of the R4Y fake tobacco. It helped, but after trying a 30ml bottle of Solo, I saw the futility of my former method. Solo is fantastic, great menthol and not sweet tobacco back notes. Nice flavor, I’ll be using it more frequently alongside with my #1 favorite right now: Black Note Prelude!

as a long time menthol smoker. till 12/3/15, my first delivery of solo. I couldn’t understand even the tiny amount of negative reviews solo received, so I read every neg I could find. Noticed a few tasted too much mint, I consider menthol more of a feel than taste. that being said I set out to figure this out. My findings were. unregulated batteries. like pen styles, don’t always deliver enough power. if you use a mod style battery and set it between 3.7 and 3.9 volts you will have a perfect Nat Sherman hint of mint. I haven’t smoked and see no reason too with solo. I should try others. but without menthol, {or at least with cigarettes} I don’t get THE FEEL

I tried many e-liquids in last year or so, and Black Note is by far the best on the market. It’s got strong yet not overwhelming menthol flavor with perfect blend of PG/VG 50/50 and it’s not loaded with questionable additives. It’s a must try for all menthol lovers.

I’ve been cigarette free for about a month now. I started out vaping those cheap gas station disposables called Vuse produced by the infamous R.J. Reynolds. There is simply no comparison between those and a quality e-liquid vaped from a decent mod (I’m currently using the Innokin Endura t22 [the mouth to lung is great for ex-smokers]). My preferred brand from my smoking days was Marlboro Menthol Lights and the Solo blend has been a suitable replacement so far. It is certainly far better than the other “pure” menthol e-liquids I’ve tried (i.e. Vape Wild’s PepperMint and Grey Matter Menthol). The menthol is a bit strong so I may find myself experimenting with blending different Black Note flavors in order to dial in the flavor a bit. On it’s own, however, this is a high quality vape and is worth the money. I think I may spring for the sample pack next.

A bit strong menthol taste at first, but quickly grows on you
I started smoking the e-cig in an attempt to quit smoking the menthol cigarettes that I had been smoking for years. I am happy to say it worked! My initial impression of the solo flavor that it was incredibly strong menthol flavor (in comparison to the menthol cigs I had been smoking). I initially described it to my wife like sucking on a candy cane. I personally enjoy menthol flavor so it was not really a problem, I was just surprised how strong the flavor was. However, about a week later I smoked my first cigarette again and, in comparison to the solo, it tasted like I was licking an ashtray. Cigarettes taste awful in comparison. I am very happy with this blend. After trying a couple of others I have settled on a custom blend that is a 2:1 ratio of solo and the tobacco flavored forte. I find that this is my ideal mix of menthol and tobacco flavor. In summary, this is a great menthol flavor, but you may find it a bit strong at first if you are just coming off of cigarettes.

This is my first ever black note eliquid and out of all the e-juices I’ve tried, this has got to be the crispest and smoothest of them all. The menthol taste isn’t too strong at all and my throat is cringing. I love this stuff already can’t wait to to try my 2nd bottle.
