Suorin Pod Compatibility Chart: Which Pods Fit Your Suorin

Suorin Air pods are not one pod. The Air (V2), Air Plus, Air Pro and Air Mini each have their own listed pod, and Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor (suorin.com’s cart link points to its store), says Air Plus pods are “Not Compatible with Suorin Air Pods.” Suorin USA also says the Drop 2 takes Drop 2 pods only. The shared pods and coils in the listings are the Fero cartridges across the Fero series (per suorin.com) and the Shine and Ace pod and the TRI coils for the Trident and Trio 85 (per Suorin USA). The chart below covers 21 Suorin devices and shows which source each row comes from.

At a glance
Each Air has its own pod The Air (V2), Air Plus, Air Pro and Air Mini each have a different listed pod. Neither suorin.com nor Suorin USA lists any Air pod for a second Air device.
Drop 2 needs Drop 2 pods Suorin USA, Suorin's authorized US distributor, says the Drop 2 takes Drop 2 pods, “as version one pods do not fit.”
TRI coils are shared The Trident and Trio 85 take the same TRI coils, per Suorin USA, Suorin's authorized US distributor. Each has its own pod housing.
Fero cartridges are shared suorin.com says Fero cartridges from 0.4Ω to 1.0Ω “can be applied for all FERO Series.”

How Suorin pod compatibility works

Suorin has made a long line of pod devices since the first Air in 2016, and most of them use a pod made for that device alone. A shared name doesn’t mean a shared pod: the Air, Air Plus, Air Pro and Air Mini are all card-shaped Air devices, and each takes a different pod. Among refillable pods, the sources list only three cases of shared pods or coils:

  1. Fero cartridges: 0.4Ω to 1.0Ω cartridges for the Fero, Fero Lite, Fero Box and Fero Box Pro, per suorin.com.
  2. Shine and Ace pods: one 2mL, 1.0Ω pod listed for both devices, per Suorin USA.
  3. TRI coils: one coil series for the Trident and Trio 85, per Suorin USA. The pod housings differ.

Going the other way, Suorin USA says first-version Drop pods “do not fit” the Drop 2, and its Air Plus pod page says “Not Compatible with Suorin Air Pods.”

Where these facts come from: Suorin’s own site, suorin.com, has product pages for the Air Pro, Air Mini, Drop 2, SE and Fero series among its refillable pod devices, plus the prefilled Pico, Pico Lite and Maxo. Its cart link sends you to Suorin USA, which describes itself as a “factory-authorized distributor” of Suorin products in the US and whose product pages still cover older devices. Suorin USA is Suorin’s authorized US distributor, not Suorin itself, so we name it whenever a fact comes from its pages.

One more thing to know before you read the chart: when a pod isn’t listed for a device, we don’t recommend it for that device, even if the two look alike.

The Suorin pod compatibility chart

Each row shows the pod or coil listed for that device and where the listing comes from: suorin.com, Suorin’s own site, or Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor. Device names link to the kit on Black Note where we carry it. Output is the maximum or range that source states.

Where to buy: Suorin Air V2 pods, Air Pro pods, Air Mini pods, Drop 2 pods, Trident pods and TRI coils.

Not in the chart: the Pico and Pico Lite, which suorin.com pairs with its Pico prefilled cartridge rather than a refillable pod; the Maxo, which suorin.com lists with a 2mL prefilled pod and a 10mL refill; and the Air Hybrid Pod, Air Hive, Ugo and Shaka, because we couldn’t find a pod list for them on suorin.com or Suorin USA.

Air V2, Air Plus, Air Pro and Air Mini pods: four different pods

The short answer: buy the pod named for your Air. All four are card-shaped Air devices, but each has a different listed pod, and neither suorin.com nor Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, lists one Air’s pod for another Air.

The four Suorin Air pods
Pod Capacity Coil (as listed) Shop
Air pod (Air V2) 2mL Built-in 1.2Ω (Suorin USA) Air V2 pods
Air Plus pod 3.2mL Built-in 0.7Ω or 1.0Ω (Suorin USA) Not stocked
Air Pro pod 4.9mL 1.0Ω mesh (suorin.com and Suorin USA) Air Pro pods
Air Mini pod 2mL Mesh (suorin.com); 1.0Ω Clapton (Suorin USA) Air Mini pods
  • Air V2 pods: suorin.com has no Air (V2) page. Suorin USA’s Air kit includes “1 Suorin Air V2 System” and points to its 2mL Suorin Air Pods replacement cartridge, and its Air review says the pod has “a built in 1.2ohm coil.” Neither source publishes a wattage for the Air; Suorin USA lists “Direct Voltage-Based Output.” Our Air V2 review covers the device.
  • Air Plus pods: Suorin USA calls the Air Plus “the successor to the wildly popular original Suorin Air Pod Kit,” and its Air Plus pod page lists “Not Compatible with Suorin Air Pods.” That’s the only direct “not compatible” line we found for the Air family.
  • Air Pro pods: suorin.com lists a 4.9mL cartridge with a 1.0Ω mesh coil and says each cartridge “can be reused up to 6 times.” Suorin USA’s pod page links only to the Air Pro device.
  • Air Mini pods: a 2mL pod, per suorin.com and Suorin USA. Suorin USA lists it as 1.0Ω and links it only to the Air Mini. Our Air Mini review has more on the device.

Do Air Pro pods fit the Air Plus? Neither source says. suorin.com describes the Air Pro’s shape as “a typical symbol of Suorin Air and Suorin Air Plus,” but that’s about the card-shaped design, not the pod. Neither suorin.com nor Suorin USA lists the Air Pro pod for the Air Plus or the Air Plus pod for the Air Pro, and the two pods differ in size and coil options. We don’t recommend swapping them.

Drop and Drop 2 pods

Drop 2 pods are the only pods listed for the Drop 2. Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, says on its Drop 2 kit page: “The refillable replacement pods for this unit are the Drop2 pods as version one pods do not fit.”

  • Drop 2 pod: 3.7mL with an integrated 1.0Ω coil, per suorin.com and Suorin USA. Suorin USA’s Drop 2 review also calls it the “Drop V2 Pod.” We stock Suorin Drop 2 pods and the Drop 2 kit.
  • Original Drop pod: 2mL, sold in black and in clear, per Suorin USA, which doesn’t list a resistance for it. suorin.com has no page for the original Drop.

Suorin USA states the fit in one direction only: Drop 1 pods don’t fit the Drop 2. Neither source says whether a Drop 2 pod fits the original Drop, so we don’t recommend it. Our Drop 2 review covers the 1000mAh device in more depth.

Trident and Trio 85: TRI coils and pod housings

Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, lists the Trident and Trio 85 as 5W to 85W pod mods, each running on one 18650 battery that isn’t included. suorin.com has no page for either. Unlike the Air (V2), Air Plus, Air Pro, Air Mini and Drop pods, their pods take a replaceable coil: Suorin USA sells the pod housing (without coil) and the coils separately.

TRI coils Suorin USA lists for the Trident and Trio 85
Coil Resistance In the kit Shop
TRI Triple Mesh 0.2Ω Yes (Trident and Trio 85) TRI coils
TRI Single Mesh 0.4Ω Yes (Trident and Trio 85) TRI coils
TRI Single Mesh 0.2Ω or 0.6Ω No TRI coils
TRI Single Coil RBA Rebuildable No Not stocked
  • The coils are shared. Suorin USA’s Trident pod page description says “The Trident coils are compatible with the Trio 85 Coils,” its Trio 85 page says “The Trio85 coils are compatible with the Trident COILS,” and both pages list the same TRI coils.
  • The pod housings are not listed as shared. The Trident housing holds 4.4mL and the Trio 85 housing holds 5mL, and each is listed for its own device. For the Trident, buy Suorin Trident pods.
  • Suorin USA doesn’t publish a wattage range per TRI coil. It lists only the device range, 5W to 85W.

Fero cartridges and the SE: the refillable pods on suorin.com

All facts in this section come from suorin.com, Suorin’s own site. The Fero series is the clearest case of shared pods in Suorin’s range.

  • Fero cartridges: suorin.com says “FERO cartridges from 0.4Ω to 1.0Ω resistance can be applied for all FERO Series.” Its cartridge page lists the Fero, Fero Box and Fero Lite, and the newer Fero Box Pro page says it takes 0.4Ω to 1.0Ω cartridges and ships with Fero cartridges. Each cartridge holds 3mL (2mL in TPD markets) and Suorin says it can be refilled up to 10 times.
  • Suorin’s suggested power per Fero cartridge: 0.6Ω at 18W to 23W, 0.8Ω at 12W to 16W and 1.0Ω at 10W to 14W. For the 0.4Ω, the Fero Cartridge, Fero Box and Fero Box Pro pages say 24W to 28W, while the Fero and Fero Lite pages, which top out at 25W, say 24W to 25W.
  • SE cartridges: 2mL side-fill cartridges in 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω mesh, for a 15W device. Suorin doesn’t list SE cartridges for the Fero series or Fero cartridges for the SE.

Black Note doesn’t stock the Fero series or the SE. We list them so the chart covers every refillable pod device on suorin.com.

Older Suorin devices: Edge, iShare, Vagon, Shine, Ace, Reno, Elite and Air Mod

These devices have no product page on suorin.com. Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, still lists a pod or coil for each, and all the facts below come from its pages. Only one pair shares a pod:

  • Shine and Ace: Suorin USA’s Ace page says its 2mL cartridge is “interchangeable with the Suorin Shine pod,” and the pod page says “Universal with both Suorin Ace & Suorin Shine.” The pod has a 1.0Ω coil.
  • Edge: a 1.5mL pod with a 1.4Ω coil, for a 10W device.
  • iShare: a 0.9mL pod with a 2.0Ω coil, for a 7W device.
  • Vagon: a 2mL pod for a 12W device. No resistance is listed.
  • Reno: a 3mL cartridge that holds a replaceable 1.0Ω mesh Reno coil.
  • Elite: a 3.1mL cartridge that takes 0.4Ω mesh or 1.0Ω Elite coils, for a 40W device.
  • Air Mod: despite the Air name, it takes its own pod housing with 0.6Ω or 0.8Ω Air Mod mesh coils. Suorin USA suggests 25W to 32W for the 0.6Ω and 16W to 22W for the 0.8Ω.

Black Note doesn’t stock these devices or their pods. If you’re replacing one, use the pod Suorin USA lists for it in the chart.

What Suorin's pages don't settle

We built this chart from suorin.com and Suorin USA only, and a few of their pages disagree or leave gaps. Here’s where, and what we did about it:

  • suorin.com doesn’t document the older devices. Among refillable pod devices, suorin.com has pages for the Air Pro, Air Mini, Drop 2, SE and the Fero series only. Every row for the Air (V2), Air Plus, Air Mod, Drop, Edge, iShare, Vagon, Shine, Ace, Reno, Elite, Trident and Trio 85 comes from Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, not from Suorin itself.
  • Air Pro pods and the Air Plus. Neither suorin.com nor Suorin USA says whether these pods swap, in either direction. The chart lists each device’s own pod.
  • Drop 2 pods in the original Drop. Suorin USA says Drop 1 pods don’t fit the Drop 2, and neither source says anything about the reverse.
  • The Air Mini pod’s coil and fill. suorin.com calls it a mesh coil with a side-filling system. Suorin USA calls it a 1.0Ω Clapton coil with dual top fill, and suorin.com’s own Air Mini guide says to pull out the top cap and fill one of two holes. The 1.0Ω figure comes from Suorin USA only.
  • Air Plus capacity. Suorin USA’s pod page says 3.2mL; its Air Plus kit specs say 3.5mL. We used the pod page.
  • Air Pro output. suorin.com and Suorin USA list 18W. A reprinted review on suorin.com’s blog says 22W. We used the product pages.
  • Version names. Suorin USA calls the Air kit the “Air V2 System,” the Drop 2 the “Drop V2” and the Air Pro the “Air PRO V3,” but neither source publishes a version-to-pod map. Go by the device name in the chart.
  • Missing devices. The Air Hybrid Pod appears only in the 2022 entry of suorin.com’s company timeline, with no specs. We found no page for the Air Hive, Ugo or Shaka on suorin.com or Suorin USA.

If you’re not sure a pod fits your device, stick with the one listed for it in the chart. If the pod doesn’t seat firmly, don’t force it.

Pairing Suorin pods with Black Note tobacco e-liquid

Resistance tells you how a pod draws. As a general rule (our guidance, not Suorin’s), the 1.0Ω and higher pods, such as the Air V2, Air Pro, Air Mini and Drop 2 pods, run at low power with a tight, mouth-to-lung draw that suits Black Note salt nicotine and Black Note 50/50 tobacco e-liquids. Lower-resistance pods and coils, such as the 0.7Ω Air Plus pod, the 0.4Ω to 0.8Ω Fero cartridges and the 0.2Ω to 0.6Ω TRI coils for the Trident, run at higher power with a looser draw and pair with thicker 70VG/30PG e-liquid.

For reference, the FAQ on suorin.com suggests juice with PG:VG 3:7 and says 4:6 or 5:5 “are still suitable.”

Frequently asked questions

Not as far as the listings show. Neither suorin.com nor Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, says the Air Pro pod fits the Air Plus, or the Air Plus pod fits the Air Pro, and the pods differ: suorin.com lists the Air Pro pod at 4.9mL with a 1.0Ω mesh coil, and Suorin USA lists the Air Plus pod at 3.2mL in 0.7Ω or 1.0Ω. For the Air Pro, use Suorin Air Pro pods.

The Suorin Air pod: a 2mL refillable pod with a built-in 1.2Ω coil, per Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor (suorin.com has no Air V2 page). Suorin USA lists no other pod for the Air, and its Air Plus pod page says “Not Compatible with Suorin Air Pods.” Shop Suorin Air V2 pods or read our Air V2 review.

No. Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, says on its Drop 2 page that the Drop 2 takes Drop 2 pods “as version one pods do not fit.” suorin.com lists the Drop 2 pod at 3.7mL with a 1.0Ω coil; shop Suorin Drop 2 pods or see our Drop 2 review.

Air Mini pods. suorin.com lists a 2mL cartridge for the Air Mini, and Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor, lists the 2mL Air Mini pod at 1.0Ω and links it only to the Air Mini. Neither lists any other Air pod for it. Shop Suorin Air Mini pods or read our Air Mini review.

Yes, per Suorin USA, Suorin’s authorized US distributor: its Trident pod page says “The Trident coils are compatible with the Trio 85 Coils,” and both pages list the same TRI coils. The pod housings differ: 4.4mL for the Trident, 5mL for the Trio 85. Shop TRI coils and Trident pods.
