Suprise
At first Prelude seemed too mild for my taste. Solo was way too menthol for me. Together they surprised me. Suddenly I had a tobacco vape with menthol instead of the frigid blast produced by the menthol e juices of my acquaintance. For people that just switched
Ever since I first started I was looking for a Marlboro type of juice. I tried everything I could find that claimed to be a cigarette flavored juice and needless to say it did not happen until two weeks ago. My brother had just started vaping and told me about black note witch every store I went to had never heard of. I was hesitant but I ordered some and was blown away at the natural flavor. Prelude was what I had got and I did not like it at first because I had been so used to all of the other fruit flavored but once I had gotten used to the tobacco flavor again I loved it. And I got a free sample of sonata and it was like I was smoking a cigarette. I dont know how they did it but it’s finally happened. I would also like to mention how much longer my atomizers last it went from two or three days to over a week.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Prelude is an exact replica of smoking a real cigarette, however, it’s one of the best vape flavors I’ve tried. I had been trying to quit cigarettes for some time and vaping has worked very well in this effort. However, candy flavors don’t really work for me. I just received my Notebook order. I was a little hesitant about spending $60 on vape juice that I was not sure I would like. However, this was a fantastic decision. I have tried Prelude, Sonata and Adagio. I really, honestly like them all a lot. I could not say which I like the best but I would vape all 3 all day and be perfectly satisfied. Black Note is by far the highest quality liquid I have ever used. It is a legitimate tobacco cigarette alternative and more importantly (in this ever changing world of vapor with very low quality and chemical laden liquids) it is free of horrible chemicals. It tastes great and makes me feel better about vaping because I know I am not inhaling stuff that is clearly not supposed to be inhaled. Lastly, all of the Black Note liquids are “light” in color. From what I have learned in the last year and a half of vaping is that the less “dark” and thick the liquid the less likely my coils will be shot in just a couple days. So far, with Black Note this is true. The liquid is not thick and does not gunk the coil. Love it. Thanks Black Note!

I placed my first order and the package arrived very quickly. I was hesitant to order as all the other tobacco juices tasted like someone’s idea of what it should taste like. Never REALLY like tobacco. Not the case with this juice. No more fruity, creamy, nutty, candy juices. Smooth tobacco taste that satisfies. My only regret is that the Prelude flavor is just a bit light for my tastes. However, never trying Blacknote before, I wanted to try something light. My next order will be for a more flavorful blend.
The only negative that I can say is that the bottle was only filled to just above the label. Who knows, that may actally be exactly 30 ml. However the other juices I have bought were filled right up to the threads for the lid.

Perfection
This tobacco eliquid is exquisite, it is light, which is in no way a downside. It’s mellow but at the same time feels fully flavored. There is a smokey-ness to it which is rarely executed well but prelude is justly balanced. I usually run this juice in a .5 ohm tank at about 34 watts but noticed with juice this nice and so thin, higher resistance coils with moderate to tight air flow at 25-35 watts gives the best flavor and vaping experience. All in all I’ve recommended black note to many fellow tobacco vapers and it hasn’t been everyone’s cup of tea but ex-pipe and cigar smokers fell in love with this liquid.

I’m sworn off of Solo and Legato. But I have found my two favorites. Cadenza and Prelude. These two premium juices are downright divine. Quality, craftsmanship, balance, character. I’m in the process of going through the different Black Note flavors, and dig them all so far.
I’m using an e-cig setup and the strong vitamin N level, so it’s more like emulating cigarette smoking than vaping with a mod.
As a cigar and pipe smoker, and tobacco aficionado wannabe, I prefer the tobacco-flavored e-liquids over the food-and-drink flavors of e-liquid and vape juice. That having been said, I have yet to find a really convincing tobacco flavor. Seriously, why do they (not Black Note) add caramel flavor??? Anyway, in its own right, Prelude has a very light, subtle Virginia flavor, and is easy on the throat even in the high-strength version. It’s something one could use on and off all day. I could really easily see getting more of this when current stocks are depleted.

Amazing!
This is the first Black Note e-liquid I tested. I have used it in a dripper with dual clapton coils and it is just amazing. A smooth and somewhat creamy taste, slight throathit and respectable clouds. It leaves all other tobacco juices far behind.

Delicious first experience with Black Note
As a recent smoker-turned vaper, I’ve struggled to find flavors that satisfy my taste for cigarettes. having bought some nasty-ass tobacco flavours from a different reasonably reviewed site I thought I better check out Black Note as it kept coming up on the reviews I read with the highest recommendations. I found the reviews at Black Note from customers a great guide. I settled on Prelude for my first bottle. In retrospect I think it really is the smartest move for that first tobacco e liquid. Light enough and smooth enough to instantly enjoy without any too strong flavour or any notes standing out too loud to be off putting. I now want something with a bit more guts to it and have ordered Legato, Forte and Bravura. But I underline that for that first starter tobacco vape its better to be slightly underwhelmed than risk a flavour kick that could seem over the top. First time? go for lighter and smoother.

I’ve only tried 4 blacknote flavors so far, legato, bravura, and sonata in addition to prelude. Prelude is definately my 2nd favorite, hands down. The great characteristics aren’t lost when you carefully mix the prelude with other flavors. This one is is on par with a quality light cigarette. It reminds me of a nat Sherman New York cut light, or like how you always wanted a Marlboro light to taste. Another home run for blacknote with this one. I wish I could rate it 6 stars. Pure unadulterated tobacco bliss. I highly recommend adding a few drops of legato to a tank of prelude. Makes a perfect all day vape. I will definitely be re-ordering prelude again.

Good news for ex smoker who used to smoke light cigarette. This is a perfect substitute for you. Smooth, mild and slightly creamy. I get mild to medium bodied throat hit. The authentic tobacco sweetness is there, easily. It is probably for light cigarette lovers. For me, Prelude is #4 from 8 available in Black Note line.

Prelude was the first e-liquid I tried from Black Note’s Notebook. It is a statement of a theme of quality and care. This blend has a straightforward flavor with a clean finish. It is a bit sweet for my taste, but this is an excellent introduction to the craftsmanship of Black Note. If you’re willing to explore the other blends, this classic theme will become more complex and satisfying.

I’ve been sampling the different flavours in the Notebook and I unfortunately started with this one… I didn’t like it at all, but as I tasted the other ones, I’ve found some I really like! Personally, I prefer Bravura and Adagio. But even if Prelude wasn’t good for me, it is still very obvious that the quality of the product is very superior to other “house made” tobacco flavours.

Wanted to have an e liquid without the additives, that also was smooth and would not burn the throat like some I have tried. Glad I found Black Note because if you want pure tobacco vaping than look no further. Prelude is one of the first I tried and will definately keep it on hand as it is smooth with a slight sweetness that you can vape all day. Give it a try

An introduction
Prelude is smooth, sweet and easy to vape, it’s not my favourite though. I was never into light cigarettes, I’m a former Marlboro reds smoker, so prelude lacks a bit a of complexity to me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great juice, just not my cup of tea. So, I would suggest this one for formers light cigarettes smokers, or if you are in the mood for a pleasant light sweet vape.

Or All-Day-Vape if you like mild cigarettes or maybe just quit. Musically speaking, it’s definitely called Prelude for a reason. This is probably the best place to start if you are just discovering Black Note. At this point I have tried almost all of the flavors and was sent a sampler of Prelude a couple of times as a “gift”. It’s not as rich or complex as the others, but found myself really enjoying it in my little MigCig mini travel vape kit. Like I said, if you like (or were smoking) “light” or “mild” cigarettes, then I think you’ll really enjoy it. If you were into more earthy, natural cigarettes, such as American Spirits, then skip straight to the Legato in my opinion. You won’t be disappointed. You can read my review on that page. As I say in all of my reviews so far, these liquids will definitely give more life to your coils and wicks. Especially, in my case, the eGo One CL coils, which I think have a pretty terrible life span usually.

This flavor IMO most accurately tastes like a Marlboro light. I haven’t smoked in over a year, but if memory serves this flavor is the best I have found to resemble the taste. If you are looking for a vape that comes closest to the analog taste then look no further.

The flavor has stayed verry close to the same when switching up nicotine levels…before i had to stick to a certain level of nic. for the flavor would change with other brands…gonna buy a 3rd bottle then may try another when that ones over i might try forte next

Got a bottle free when I ordered some Sonata. Very smooth throat hit with no after taste. Mild in comparison to the sonata blend. Black note is the only tobacco flavored juice I have tried that doesn’t have a chemical after taste. It truly taste better than a cigarette and is helping me to quit the nasty analog habit.

I read the description and reviews and this one, Prelude, sounded about right for a Virginia tobacco lover, which I’ve always been. I was not disappointed. They got it exactly right, my only problem being I wanted a stronger flavor. As one reviewer (who loved it) pointed out, it tastes like a Marlboro Light. This would be my go-to vape, otherwise. (Well, if there were nothing else, it would be, period! But…)
So I bought the Notebook and tried them all. There’s definitely something there for just about every taste (even a real menthol), but what grabbed me, weirdly, because I haven’t smoked a cigar in years, was Adagio. Havana tobacco flavor. Adagio got a five on my Black Note meter. But I keep drifting back to the haunting flavor of Prelude.
So what I will do: 50/50 Prelude and Adagio. I used to smoke Pall Malls, Camels, Luckies, Chesterfields, Philip Morris. I think a blend of Virginia and Havana just might do the trick. If Black Note ever comes out with a Turkish or Balkan version, that’ll be next, but for now Prelude remains very close to the top of my list for smooth Virginia flavor, a little Adagio for strength.

Nice Intro
I actually didn’t start with this one, I went through several others first. Prelude has a nice, light, smokey edge with a honey finish. It’s not overly sweet, just a nice honey finish on an otherwise well balanced vape. It’s a good place to start if you’re just becoming familiar with the excellent blacknote family. Prelude is my favorite (for now!).
After using all of the flavors in the Black Note sampler box, I’ve decided that Prelude is my favorite. All flavors are so good, though, which makes this so close that I can’t even be sure that it will remain my favorite. For now, though, I ordered and have received a new 30 ML bottle of Prelude. There’s no question but that Black Note is head and shoulders ahead of all competitors. It’s quick shipping is a bonus!

Mild and tastes great
This is my first bottle of Black Note, and I must say this company hit this out of the park. It has a very mild tobacco taste with a sweet exhale. It pairs well with domestic beers such as those like Coors Lite and others. This juice, and others from the Black Note line I suspect, make all other juices seem, well, immature. I am very impressed and will be working my way through their entire line of products.

Prelude by far is my favorite. It has a smooth inhale on the palate. And a flavorful exhale as if it was a fresh pack of cigarettes right when they’re open before lit. I am seriously amazed on how they were able to accomplish this eliquid. But I’m glad they did. 5 stars in my book!

You simply cannot mistake the quality
I have recently given up smoking cigarettes and turned to vaping. I have tried many tobacco flavoured e-liquids – some were rough, some were non existent and some……..well, quite frankly, were better off in the bin with the rubbish. On Google I typed in “best tobacco e-liquid” and up came Black Note. I was intrigued by their claims and also about the cold non heat process. I ordered the Notebook so that I could test and explore all the flavours to hopefully find one or two that would meet my expectations. I will write further reviews on the other varieties as and when I have got through them. this review is for the Prelude. Toking on an Aspire Nautilus with VVbattery, Prelude starts off smooth…..very smooth in fact. it does not kick you in the balls nor spits in your eye. Instead it cajoles and caresses and delivers a true tobacco taste with just a tiny hint of sweetness. it is rich but subtle and comes across as, well, classy. Very classy in fact. You cannot mistake the quality of this liquid. unlike other brands from other companies this one knows what it is about. it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than the real deal. I defy anyone to dislike it who is looking for real tobacco taste. Its a shame there are no UK outlets but I digress ….. Definitely one for my short list. cant wait to get into the others in the Notebook.

Just a quick update to my review dated 9-26-15. I’ve been thinking about my previous review of Prelude, after going back to this liquid. I now realize that the sweet aftertaste that I noted. It turns out that it was actually the taste of Baklava that I had that afternoon. This liquid is just Fantastic no lingering aftertaste at all. Great job Black Note..
