Finally an adult e-juice
Although I am new to vaping I have been a pipe tobacco connoisseur of premium aged small batch tobaccos for some time- pure Virginia being preferred smoke. Unfortunately I was also a heavy smoker of cigarettes. Prelude is my first NET e-juice, and finally I can say I have tried an adult e-juice that is not full of other sickly sweet flavours to jazz it up. This is giving me the taste and hit I need to satisfy my cravings for cigarettes. Thumbs up from me and I will look forward to sampling the other varieties in the range.

First of the Black Note Line
This was the first one of the notebook I tried and instantly I knew Black Note was special. This particular flavor wasn’t my favorite but its quality was undeniable. My taste buds picked up a popcorny taste on inhale and a slightly woody aftertaste. It had a particularly strong throat hit and was slightly harsh. Quality was great but just not my particular cup of tea.

Prelude is the lightest of the Black Note line up in my opinon. That doesn’t mean that it lacks flavor though. I would describe it as more sweet than rich. I think even non tobacco lovers would like this one.

A great starting point
Prelude is a great starting point for trying Black Note. I got the Notebook and Prelude was my early favorite although Forte eventually became my everyday vape. It tastes like a really fresh American “red” cigarette with a light throat hit and a mild sweet nutty flavor. If you have tried other brands only to be disappointed by the strong overly chemical flavor (especially from disposable e-cigs) Try Prelude. Only tobacco tastes like tobacco. Black Note has finally figured that out and delivered a product for the smoker that really wants to quit without adjusting to vaping candy or fruit flavors. I smoked 2 packs a day for 35 years, I didn’t even want to quit but my loved ones were pressuring me so hard that I agreed to try vaping just to appease them. I figured I’d pretend to give it a chance for a few days and go back to cigarettes like I’ve done in the past. Black Note surprised me. I actually prefer Black Note to smoking now and haven’t been temped to smoke in nearly 5 months even though I have 7 packs left in a carton sitting on my nightstand.

Let me start by saying, I’m not going to give you the flavor notes I taste like other reviews. All the flavors are great and worth a try. I will say don’t expect a lab made tobacco flavor. These are natural flavors with a light organic taste. With that said black note is the only n.e.t. I have tried and the only one I trust! Being able to look at the lab reports and the fact they are cold extracted gives me peace of mind that there are no not need additives in my juice. The company it self is great. Prelude – Wine Tasting Brought to E-Liquid by Black Note
Black Note has produced some of the finest e-liquid on the market. I do vape some of the sweet juices because they are the most common thing out there. I had been looking for something like this for a long time and Black Note came through. Do not expect to get you typical “tobacco flavored” juice. In my opinion, those do not taste like tobacco. If you are looking for a “cigarette flavor”, you will not get that from Black Note. What you will get is an experience similar to a wine tasting. After vaping all of these for several weeks, I figured out exactly how I like to set up my equipment to achieve the maximum flavor notes. Prior to reviewing this, I will let you know how I set up my mod. This set up may sound crazy, but I use this: I do a single coil 15 wrap 26 awg build. This is a 1.9 ohm build and I vape that at 17 watts. This may sound strange, but I have gotten my best flavor from this set up. If you are looking to blow clouds with this, then Black Note probably isn’t the best liquid. The Black Note line is a more enjoyable, fine flavored, relaxing vape that makes you feel like you are sitting in a leather chair in a room with the lights lowered and a glass of fine whiskey in one hand and your mod in another.
Prelude:
Is a soft and subtle flavor with a warm sweetness that has a slightly earthy finish. At times, there is a more prominent sweetness like that of the smell if birch-wood (Not a sweet like candy). This is, in my opinion one of the most mellow flavors in the Black note line.

Even though I like all the Black Note products I have sampled thus far, the Prelude is definately on my list of favorites. It’s sweet, but not anonymous. It’s an accomodating liquid, that, as others have written, go well with the morning coffee.
The first impression is a complex taste composition. The subsequent taste is hard to describe, but definately notes of sweetnes, and no artificial sensation whatsoever. The latter is of high importance to me. The Prelude is delicious, but it should be noted, that the taste is rather subtle. By this I don’t mean dull or non-present, but just not as clear full-bodied and dominating as some of the other BN-products. Nonetheless it’s one of a few personal favorites.

If you are coming into the vaping world from light cigs, this might be just the flavor for you. Probably the mildest of all the Black Note flavors. There is also a hint of sweetness in this flavor. The description didn’t really convince me that this was for me, but after receiving this one as a part of the notebook as a gift, I realized I couldn’t have been more wrong. Slightly sweet after taste
It recently ordered the notebook sampler and have tasted all of them. However, my plan is to go back and do it once more before placing an order of my favorites. I started with Prelude because I had read the reviews and it appeared to be one of the top rated. With that said, I only gave it a four star because it did have a slightly sweet after taste, as described, but I am not a big fan of sweetness in e-liquid. However, it is still well worth purchasing if you like that. Over all, I have enjoyed every one of samples from this company. They are true to their word about this product…there are no chemical after tastes in any if them!

Awesome Sauce
This was the first Black note product I tried and in my opinion it was the best out of an extremely good line of product. This juice has a light, bright, sweet, taste. if you smoked cigarettes before vaping you will appreciate the subtle sweet undertones of this vape. This was the liquid I was the most excited about, as all the online reviews were that it is the most like a cigarette. Unfortunately for me however I didn’t get that cigarette hit I had been craving. All the being said it is still a far better than all tobacco flavoured eliquids. Before I stopped smoking I was on light cigarettes and I believe that the flavour of this was just to strong for my taste.

This has a very good taste to it, something you could vape all day and have on-hand for the first cuppa coffee in the morning. Sweet Virginia!
This is the mildest and sweetest of the bunch IMO. It is a very clean sweetness coming from the tobacco. I like this as a summer vape but prefer the more complex earthier vapes in the Fall. This would be a good first one to try if you are starting out with vaping or curious with NETs.

Prelude, to me, is the sweetest of the lineup. Almost too sweet, but naturally so. It’s authentic Virginian flavor is upfront and bright, exactly as the description states. A splendidly nutty, dry and moreish vape
This was the 2nd Black Note flavour I tried and it was a great departure from the menthol Solo vape, by contrast this liquid has a bright, fullsome virginia flavour, which is strongly infused with a sweet nutty aftertaste, which keeps you coming back for more! Not a hint of bitterness, and a great introduction to the range for anyone curious about getting into Black Note liquids! Highly delicious, highly recommended.

Everything about BlackNote is beautiful. I love the packaging, their charity work. Everything is biodegradable and they pay for you to return ur bottles to recyle. I LOVE how clean the juices are on my BVC coils. If u switch you’ll see a big difference at how clean the coils stay and how much longer they last compared to other e-juices. If u normally like to vape sweets, you’ll definately like Prelude. Sweet on inhale and exhale with clean tabacco taste. I vape either this and forte all day everyday.

Truely Excellent
I really loved. I smoked for years and have been vaping for six months. After dozens of tobacco flavors this is the first I have enjoyed. The quality was excellent. I will say that the flavor was a little more earthy than expected but quite good.

Very impressed
First of all, I have been vaping for about 20 months now, I was always looking for a good tobacco flavoured e-liquid. I tried so many, only a few were decent. Prelude from Black Note however really impressed me. The flavour is very light, not at all overwhelming. It tastes like smelling tobacco leaves, if that makes any sense. For my setup I have been using a Origen Genesis V2 MKII at 14Watts and Fiber Freaks. The throat hit is very pronounced and the taste is really good. I would recommend this to anyone who likes tobacco and/or NET juices or to anyone trying to quit smoking. This is an outstanding liquid.

Loving Prelude
I just received my first order of Blacknote e-liquid and couldn’t be happier. I ordered Prelude and the flavor is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Perfectly clean and natural with superb tobacco flavor.

Today I started working my way through the beautiful NOTEBOOK. With Prelude you will experience a very smooth and light tobacco juice. There is a hint of sweetness, very subtle, all together with a mild leafy taste. For me Prelude captured the perfect flavor of a Virginia blend containing the sun cured tobacco leaves. I like vaping it all day long and it’s wonderful in the morning combined with a nice coffee for a good start.

Light, Bright, with a touch of…Honey?
Prelude seems like the perfect name for this one. Upon initial draw you get a mild tobacco flavor, not too complex vapor, pull a little deeper and it’s almost as the flavor develops into a sweeter brighter exhale that to me is reminiscent of a natural honey infused tobacco. Enough to make me crave a bowl of honeycomb cereal every time I finish a tank of this. Complex enough to keep you interested, but light and simple enough to taste all day.

Great juice overall
My only complaint with this juice is my personal dislike for Virginia tobacco. Of course, my only experience with it is this juice and a pack of a Virginia blend cigarettes by Marlboro (which I couldn’t even finish). But even despite that, I still like this juice, and I plan to finish it before moving on to the other Notes in my Notebook. It has a very pleasant amount of subtle sweetness, but the undertone of earthiness is what I don’t like. However, for someone who likes Virginia tobacco, this will surely satisfy.

A Great Place to Start
I recommend vaping this first, after having tried every bottle in the Black Note line up, because vaping the Prelude reminded me a little of them all. The flavors in the Prelude are subtle, but varied and exceptionally well balanced. This is very delicate, so be sure to vape this at lower wattages and at least .5 ohms or above. Do not overheat. If you want the exact opposite, where you get hit with a major flavor up front and personal, then go with the Solo.

A bit too light flavored.
For my tastes the tobacco flavor is a bit mild, but the quality is amazing as always. Nice clean vape, some sweetness that is more naturally flavored as opposed to other juices out there with imitation vanilla and sugary flavors which can’t stand. I am enjoying this stuff in my dripper but not so much in my tank.

Torn by them All
I started with Prelude based on a review by Robert Ellis. When it arrived, I was so impressed that I immediately ordered a large bottle of Prelude. I am not a professional critic of tobacco flavors, but this hit such a nice balance of wonderful rich tobacco taste with just a hint of sweetness. The sweet taste did not over power the tobacco, but rather complemented it and made it richer. This is where the trouble started. I soon ordered the Notebook with samples of all of the flavors. I figured I would probably find one or two more that I liked, and a few that I didn’t. Since I hate menthol cigarettes, I figured that Solo was out for sure. My sample package arrived yesterday, and so far I have loaded every Nautilus tank I have with a different flavor. To my utter amazement, I loved them all, but I left Solo to last. This morning I tried Solo, and once again, I was flabbergasted to find that I not only liked it, but rather, I loved it. It is refreshingly minty, but not at all menthol. So, my dilema is that I can’t decide which is my favorite. It sort of depends on my mood and the time of day. I will keep a stock of all on hand, and enjoy my variety of first class vaping flavors. This is the ideal morning first vape of the day. It is another juice that blew me away. If you are a fan of real Turkish tobacco, This one will make you do cartwheels down the street! I paired this one with some fresh black coffee and some 73% dark chocolate to clense off the palate. Here is what I get:
Smooth Sunny Bright Shaded leafy-earthy tobacco, with slight notes of light, milky sweetness. I am so happy I found Black Note vaping liquid. Very impressed with packaging, shipping, & overall presentation of this product. I bought the Notebook first which carries all eight flavors & I loved them all, but one flavor stood out & it is Prelude. It has everything I like in a tobacco, I love it & will definitely buy more often along with more other flavors. The flavors are so real & pleasant that with Black Note liquids I was able to enjoy them now with no nicotine added. I used to chew 1 can a day loaded with nicotine for 8 years & just recently started vaping. Good morning, Prelude is the third e-juice I have tried from this wonderful company Black Note and like the other two I was not disappointed. From the very first inhale I new I was vaping something very special. It was a smooth, tasty. airomatic blend that brought a nice mellow vape you would soon not forget. It had the just right amount of sweetness that added to this magical blend. Just vaping tobacco juices over the last two years it has made me very critical of most tobacco juices.
