Those getting off of the icky sticks will be pleased to know that Forte is the closest to the real thing in my opinion. It has a great tobacco flavor. I was a menthol smoker and this tastes great on its own, or sometimes I add a bit of straight menthol to it and it makes it taste a lot like a menthol cigarette. All of Black Note’s flavors are great, but Forte is my go to.

Recommendation: A lot of people benefit from the reviews of the various e-liquid flavors. They are very informative and make for a good initial guide to those who are getting to know Blacknote products. But the review criteria (products) falls short in one very important way. I suggest you add a review spot for customer service. I have been a loyal Blacknote customer for a few years – I buy nothing else. My loyalty was initially based on the superior products. But this loyalty has been cemented more-so based on superior customer service. I order on-line as I live in the Pacific Northwest. Ordering anything on line carries risks. Mistakes are going to happen, or at times you’ll run into stock problems, with every on-line retailer. It’s just the nature of things. But what separates one company from another is how they respond to problems. While I’ve only run into problems with my orders only a few times, every time this company has responded in an extraordinary and personal way. Responses are quick and highly effective, even if it’s just an inquiry (vs an ordering or delivery problem). So please allow your true colors to shine and add a customer service review criteria. A great non sweet tobacco!
As a former smoker, I had tried several popular tobacco juices, all of which were WAY too sweet. I’m so happy the man at my local vape shop recommended this when I asked for a non sweet tobacco. No sweetness whatsoever in this, but it’s not ‘rough’ or anything like that, still smooth & satisfying. If you’re a former smoker like me, I’d say give this a go. Bonus, the packaging! I know many aren’t really interested in packaging, but I just love the heavy cylinder box it comes in, just makes it seem more luxurious!

I have ordered hundreds of dollars of product from Black note. Forte, Adagio, and Sonata are by far my favorites. Forte is medium in flavor if you compare it to cigar rating. If I had to compare forte to a cigar I would say it is similar to a Gurka. It is a flavor perfect for those who are trying to substitute for full flavored cigarettes or standard mild cigars. As with all of black notes products they are too not and you cannot possibly do any better. I have at least 12 different bottles of other products. It is safe to say they all sit full and unused. If I could return them I would have. Don’t follow my mistakes and was money or time on inferior products. Black note is produced with a processes that are second to none. Quit buying chemicals made by some hipster loser in his garage. Or garbage made by one of the fly by wire vape shop. Take your tastes and your health to the next level and switch to Black note.

Forte was my original favorite BN flavor due to its mild character, I still use Forte regularly but over a period of 8 months of using almost nothing but Blacknote E juice I find that I need a bit more edge on the flavor. Forte is a great vape but a bit on the mild side! Perhaps in time I’ll want less edge and switch back to Forte as my main vape. Until then I’m going with Legato and Quartet. Great company and great products! Forte does remind me though of Camel’s which I smoked for years. If you’re a Camel smoker looking to quit you may want to try Forte.

For the serious vapers that prefer the Tobacco flavors, Black Note is a winner. There’s no weird after taste, and the flavor is probably as close to a cig as it can be. I have noticed the life of my atomizer is shorter, it seems the liquid will saturate it after a few days where the draw feels weaker and will become more gurgley (for lack of a better word). But the draws/hits on a fresh atomizer is as good as it gets! Forte is a great flavor.

I am so impressed with this company! I am new to vaping, as I’m trying to kick a 44 year cigarette habit, and so everything is new to me. Some of what I’ve tried (juices, devices, etc) just doesn’t work for me, and other things I’ve found have worked quite well. The best of all, though, is Black Note! I wasn’t sure if I should try the higher priced stuff early on, fearing I’d then never settle for lesser products, but now I know I made the right decision. I’ve tried a number of juices in various price ranges, and of various flavors, with great user and pro reviews, but none compare to Black Note. In fact, it’s the only juice I’ve found that I can take more than a few puffs on and really enjoy. Now I know – my decision to start with the best was a good one, because I’m not sure I’d have lasted more than a week off cigarettes if I hadn’t found this company – and especially Forte (though I love Sonata too). Interesting and unique flavor
This has a more robust taste to it than prelude (the only other one i’ve tried so far) but also has some sweetness to it, but it’s not necessarily defined by it. Others have said this is smooth and light, i’m inclined to agree. The flavorings are subtle and at my settings produce a warm hit. I only have the 3% blend so the throat hit isn’t nearly like real tobacco but the flavor is reminiscent of sweet cigarillos the like of the AL-Capone cigarillos. It might be my set-up, but i rate this 4 stars because of it’s subtly; you have to focus on the flavor to detect it rather than it being up front and powerful That might be what make others rate it 5 stars though.

There Can Be Only One!
After extensive research I decided to try vaping and quit smoking. Every inquiry for a “real tasting” e-juice resulted in “…Blacknote products stand alone, nothing else comes close.” So I ordered a mod and an Asripre Nautilus, and some Blacknote Sonata. Your dedication to customer service is excellent. My first order got here quickly, California to Northern Michigan in 2 days… WOW! Set my system up, filled the tank and I haven’t had a cigarette, not even a puff, since April 14, 2017. To say that I’m pleased with your company and your products is a gross understatement.
My impression of the two Liquids that I’ve tried so far:
Sonata – A great first choice to “test the water”. Subtle, light, a hint of sweetness, but not quite robust enough for a 40 year “Hump” smoker. I knew I was on the right track, so I opted for Forte on my next order.
Forte – Bingo! A somewhat “dryer”, more robust tobacco flavor. Just what I had hoped for.
I strongly recommend your product to everybody that asks me about real tobacco flavored E-juice with missionary zeal, well done Blacknote, well done indeed.

New number one for me
I was bummed when Black Note discontinued my favorite, Cadenza, so it was back to the drawing board. I’ve tried all Black Note creations, and have now settled on Forte as my all-day vape. I find it to be the most flavorful of all current Black Note offerings, full-bodied and deep. Great by itself, but I generally mix in about 20% Quartet, which is in a class by itself. As a former pipe smoker, partial to English blends, the Latakia of Quartet I associate with good cognac and single-malt scotches. It can be a bit overwhelming by itself during the day, though. Forte is fine by itself, but adding a touch of Quartet is the finishing touch. Should I call it Fortet? Or Quarte? I just call it good. By the way, I recently tried some other NETs from different makers to compare them side-by-side with Black Note, hoping to save a few bucks. They were not in the same league. You get what you pay for, I guess. If you enjoy a rich, full tobacco flavor, try Forte. If something milder fits your palate, some of the other Black Note flavors might be more to your liking.

Fantastic flavor!
This e-liquid tastes great on it’s own, much better than any other tobacco e-liquid I’ve tried. On it’s own it’s just a bit too strong for me so I tried mixing it with caRnY4 from G2 Vapor and it’s an amazing combo, 2 parts black note, 1 part caRnY4. Would highly recommend!
