I have tried 6 of the 8 flavors so far in the Notebook. This is my favorite with Virginia and Cavendish yet to be sampled. I think if you like cigars, you’ll like this. It is robust, smooth, slightly smoky, with a sweet hint. I found this to be very close in taste to the Cuban Cigar Blend, which I thought was just a little less sweet. I was a cigarette smoker and found this a little too strong for my taste. I have yet to try Virginia and Cavendish so I’m hoping one of these two will do it for me.

They’re all good but this and Cigar are the best IMO. Mix with a tiny bit of Latakia 5/1 and perfect. Currently vaping another company liquid that I’ve had 7 different types of tobacco that have been sitting in a box ever since I came across black note. They’re just terrible and have a sweet chemical after taste which you don’t get with any BN liquid. BN liquid just seems so much cleaner/natural than anything I’ve tried. Would settle for any BN juice tried them all many times except cigarette which reminds me of smoked trout but that’s their only miss all the others deserve 5 stars.

When I quit smoking, I looked long and hard for a really good authentic tobacco eliquid. I tried more than I can count, and was amazed at what people called “tobacco” flavor. What have they been smoking?! Most were like smoking a piece of toffee even if the reviews said “just a hint of sweetness” or even “not sweet at all”. Finally I tried Black Note. Trust this reviewer who now has about 30 bottles of “tobacco” ejuice that are nothing like tobacco and now sit on a shelf ignored in favor of this brand. Kentucky is one of their stronger offerings. It, along with Latakia, has the least amount of sweetness. It’s lighter than a full flavored cigarette, but pretty comparable to a light version. It’s definitely stronger and smokier than the Virginia but less ashy than Cigarette. If you’ve just quit smoking or want the closest thing to a real cigarette, go for this one or Cigarette, or better yet, get both and mix them for the perfect smoking substitute.

I found Black Note by accident. I was visiting family and was low on my juice. I found a vape shop and decided to see if they had anything that might work for me, I use a low nicotine percentage which is hard to find. The shop was great! They had Black Note as their primary liquid. I tried several different flavors and settled on the Kentucky. I had always been a menthol user, when I smoked, I smoked menthol, when I started vaping, I used a menthol, so I was surprised, but very pleased to find the Kentucky flavor. It has a very mild flavor with a sweet note at the end. I also really like the fact that they use actual tobacco for the base of their liquids. I have suggested that one of the larger Vape businesses in town get in touch with y’all to see about bringing it to their shop.

I’ve tried all of the flavors available except for the “pipe tobacco” and the new “cigarette” flavors. I liked all of them with the exception of the rather esoteric flavor of Latakia but which I understood to be representative of a traditional Middle-Eastern variety.
Out of all of the flavors, ruminated upon during the course of two variety packs, I came to realize that I liked the Kentucky/Legato flavor the most as it had the body and the slight “burn,” for want of a better term, that I would get with a fine cigarette e.g. a Gauloises or a Sobranie. It came closest to replicating actual smoking and expensive smoking, at that. I’ve not smoked for many years but this was an immediately recognizable taste experience of cigarettes at their best.
