I have tried Legato forte and sonata, I smoked Marlboro reds. Lagato is good but has a slight peppery finish to it. Kind of a little spice on the tongue. Good smooth vape if you like a bit of a bite at the end. Forte seemed a bit strong and harsh for me. Sonata seemed to be the best tasting. Seemed to be smooth and taste the closet to a real red cig. I have not tried Prelude. So naby reviews said it was light like a Marlboro light. So I will go between legato abd sonata. Lagato is a rich good flavor just the slight peppery feeling on the tongue after the vape. LOVE BN

Not what I wanted, but still incredible
After trying several tobacco flavors from other companies I was having a hard time finding a full-flavored tobacco e-liquid. Some of them tasted too much like burnt tobacco and some of them were sweetened too much and some of them barely had any flavor at all. So when I came across Black Note I went straight for the strongest and most full-bodied flavor, which was Sonata. Upon receiving the bottle I was shocked at how strong the flavor was. It was, in fact, TOO strong flavored. I knew, however, that I had found the right website for buying the tobacco flavor of my dreams. I ended up falling in love with Forte and Legato the most, but Prelude was much better than anything else I’d tried from other companies as well. I ended up buying a cheap vape pen and filling it with the left over Sonata that I had and giving it to my girlfriend’s mom and she absolutely loves it! Again, the flavor was WAY too strong for me, but she fell in love. Now we’re both crazy about Black Note!

Ex- Marlboro smoker 35 years, Good flavor But a bit light
I had ordered 2 bottles of Sonata, (I prefer to give new things good test) At first it came across a bit like some of the cigarillos that out there, which I didn’t really didn’t care for. Due to that, it wasn’t something I could use all the time. However, occasional vaping with Sonata has been quite enjoyable and refreshing. I believe the flavor changed a bit after having it a little while. One thing that is very disappointing about the reviews here to me, is that very few reviews actually compare to their favorite Cigarette Brand. I will order Sonata again in the Future for sure because as I said when I do Vape with Sonata it has been a refreshing change of pace. Sonata is out of stock Today. I have found at least 1 reference for both Forte and Prelude each as a comparison 1 to Camel Brand (Forte) and 1 to Marlboro (Prelude).
Since I am a Marlboro Man and since the review for Prelude that compared it to Marlboro was quite convincing I will order 2 bottles of Prelude today and I would like to try 1 bottle of Forte as well.
I never found Camel Cigarettes, Repulsive I just liked Marlboro Better. Please understand I haven’t smoked a cigarette in about 4 years. I Miss my cigarettes. I vape with a nautilus Mini because it feels like pulling a drag off a real cigarette. The liquid I use from a local vendor the flavor is ok and does not taste like a cigarette. However, it has been satisfactory enough for me to not buy another pack of cigarettes. ( Almost 4 years now)
I do not want a bunch of fruity or vanilla or food flavored E-Liquids. I want something that tastes like a cigarette without all of the nasty additives.
I have high hopes for Prelude or possibly Forte.
I will say that my experience so far is that Black Note is a high quality product. I go through about 90MLs a month. Which would be about $90.00 for black Note. Cheaper than Cigarettes for sure. right now from the local e-shop I typically buy 240MLs at a time for about $90.00 which fits into my budget for a 3 month supply.
I wish the black Note was a bit cheaper. I would buy more.
I will check back after I get a chance to test out the Prelude and Forte and try to give a good descriptive comparison to a Marlboro cigarette.
I am giving Sonata a 4 Star rating: It is a very good tasting and smooth product but doesn’t really capture that Marlboro flavor I was hoping for and because it is a bit pricey.

Coming back to Sonata
I wasn’t sure about Sonata to start with, but find myself coming back to it. It’s a fantastic balance between Prelude and Forte – still smooth and light but with a slight but distinct earthy backbone. Waiting for the 6mg to be restocked – can’t wait to get back on the Sonata train. If my tastebuds remember right, this could become my new standard (Forte still holds that spot right now).

Prelude, Forte and Sonata all smell and taste like a fresh new pack of cigarettes without the burning smell. All having similar appeasing variants, I find Sonata to have a bit more of a kick or slight spice that you might find lacking in the more mild Prelude and Forte (Prelude being more light then Forte.) somewhat loosing taste faster if you vape frequently, yet all being suitable to be an all day vape no different then you “knowing” which brand of cigarettes you preferred (or still do for that matter) Although I can’t see even the heaviest smoker continuing after trying this brand as most gravitate toward the flavor this provides over any analog. Esp with NET e liquid.
I’d recommend rotating any these options at your leisure : )

I find it a little stronger than Prelude, I think it is even closer to the cigarette taste, only the good about it. I really think this is excellent, which is better? I don’t know I will keep switching Prelude and Sonata until I will try the others!

Distinct and refreshing flavor
I have recently converted from cigarettes to vapor and have been trying the black note brand as a substitute for cigarettes because of its likeness to smoking tobacco. So far I think I have finally gotten my mod right after 2 weeks, and can really distinguish the flavor of the juice now. I am suprised with the sonata flavor. With a clean primed coil, I found the flavor reminiscent to warmed mahogany, rich but with a note of citrus. Kind of like a sequoia in comparison to other pines in aroma within the mouth. (Sequoias have a lemony scent emerging from an earthy base). It is refreshing, rich and nostalgic.
I have a tendency to like more heavy nutty creamy flavors, but this one suprised me. It will definitely be on my rotation of flavors. Cheers.

Sweet! I love this stuff! I smoked for 44 years, and in that time tried to quit at least a hundred times. I never lasted more than a month or two, and even then, every hour of every day was a battle to fight the cravings for a cigarette. Of course, every time I eventually succumbed and returned to smoking. Now, though. . . . after one week with Black Note I knew I’d never smoke again! Seriously! But when I do, I do it with SOLO! A must have, after all the reviews from other sites; they were not lying when they said this was the best pound for pound tobacco blend. It took maybe a half of bottle(of the juice) to appreciate it because I was already full force with dessert flavor chasing before trying it.
I used to smoke menthol so have no desire to try any of the other blends besides solo(even when I used to run out of cigarettes, I didn’t want to ask others for something full flavored like Malboro etc..) but I am sure they taste just as good.

My wife and I have used tobacco for most of our adult lives. We gave vaping a try but we weren’t satisfied with the e-liquids we bought locally. We both desired a product that simulated smoking. Very interesting indeed
When I first got this I cleaned everything no ghost flavors for me. The first few times I was thinking what is this ??! But after sitting back and relaxing it grew on me substantially. The flavor is smoky and stands out in a class all of its own. There’s something earthy and natural about it and at first it takes you by surprise. The price is very shocking however there’s a reason for it. The packaging the passion and the process is there. You can see it and taste it. I only wish I could afford more of it but if I could I may not appreciate it as much. I’m glad even though I was only a customer to have been a brief part of the passion that went into this product.

Middle ground of smokey and sweet
I bought the instrumental sampler and went down the line from left to right. Prelude, forte, and now sonata. It’s almost by design that they lined up the sampler the way they did. Starting from prelude and now reviewing sonata as you go from left to right, the sweetness decreases and the smokiness increases. This has very subtle sweetness but some apparent smokey flavors. This one is totally unidentifiable but such is the tobacco leaf. If you’ve ever smoked a marlboro red and then smoked a camel filter then you’d be able to tell the difference in flavor but you’d unlikely be able to identify just how they differ from each other. Sonata is cigarette quality, with the right device it’s possible you might not even notice the change. Highly recommend over other flavors for the red smokers.

Vaping as it should be
As a long time two pack a day smoker I’ve recently turned to vaping which honestly was quite difficult to maintain after struggling to find an e liquid with a flavor that I enjoyed. I’m not one for fruit or desert vapes I wanted the flavor of cigarettes, I love the flavor of tobacco, and now I’ve found it in a vape! I’ve tried a quite a few tobacco juices and the BN Sonata is best so far
I really missed my tobacco roll your owns when i gave up nearly six months ago now. I had heard only good things and when i was able to get some BN with reasonable shipping costs to New Zealand my expectations were high in anticipation of delivery. When trying Sonata i have to be honest and say it did not IMO match the real thing, however i readily admit of all juices i’ve tried this is easily the best so far so I’m enjoying myself considerably. Will be trying Prelude next and if it’s as good as Sonata (or hopefully better) i will be satisfied. Thanks BN.

So – I’ll start by saying I really dislike most tobacco e-juices. They taste artificial and only remind me of how much I miss smoking cigarettes. Sonata changed this. It has an exceptional, bold flavor but is never overpowering. I preferred this to the Prelude (which I also liked – just not as much) and wouldn’t hesitate to order again. NET perfection
The Sonata tobacco extract is a little more robust than Prelude. The dark Virginia leaves produce a more complex earthy flavor and is very smooth. I love that I can vape this for 2 days before rebuilding, as it doesn’t gunk up the coil as much as other NETs. I just wish I could order these in 120ml bottles to save a little cash, because this is one of my favorites.

Never Thought I Could Find Such a Great Oil

Wow! Ive been vaping for over two years, and have always favoured authentic tobacco based liquids. Being new to Black Note I have just tried for the first time the Sonata product. Having tried all Black Note e-liquids, it has boiled down to two favorites; Sonata is one. If you are looking for the most authentic tobacco flavor you can get, Sonata and Prelude should be your choice. While there isn’t a bad one in the bunch (and I have tried all the flavors including some that are no longer available), the smoothness and richness of Sonata make it a daily pleasure to vape. For the times you want to tone it down a bit, Prelude fits the bill, but for the person who really appreciates accuracy in replicating real tobacco flavor, Sonata is the best choice. Smooth and rich, slightly sweet but with an edge, this is the one for full flavored pleasure.
