Description
Virginia tobacco was created by accident in 1839, when a slave in Virginia named Stephen inadvertently fell asleep while overseeing the fires lit in the barns to dry the harvested tobacco. He had entered the barn when the leaves were bright yellow, then recharged the fires so the leaves could continue the drying process until they were their usual brown. But his falling asleep allowed the fires to flare up, creating a sudden drying heat that fixed the bright yellow color onto the leaf. The bright yellow color was accompanied by the pleasant, sweet smell of caramelized sugar – and a massive success with the French women who had just started smoking at the time. Its popularity continued to grow over the years, making Virginia one of the most common tobaccos in the world today.

I usually stick with Burley or Special Blend, and occasional Vanilla Custard. First hit of RY4 I *hated* it, all caramel and cloyingly sweet. I tried it again a few days later, and found that upping the wattage quite a bit (more than double my usual) seemed to balance it out, so if you have the same reaction give that a try. Probably won’t reorder, but can finish the bottle.

I was hesitant on buying RY4, mainly because of the flavored garbage I tried before being recommended to Black Note. I have to say, it is many times better than what I originally thought. The caramel and vanilla flavor was quite good and blended well with tobacco flavor. It has a nice aroma too, with the slight smell of nicotine. For me, it is not an all day vape by itself, but when you mix it with with Virginia or Burley, it is actually quite good!

I quit smoking 3/2/2020 which wouldn’t have been successful, especially during a pandemic, if I hadn’t discovered Black Note in May 2020. I have always mixed my Black Note tobacco vape juice. I’m glad I decided to try this blend when it was on sale. Previously I tried Cavendish and Virginia, truly can’t tell which of the two I like better but I was using a caramel blend from another brand to supplement a little sweetness. This hits that and now I don’t have to use two vapes to get the flavor I want. I liked RY4 over the coffee caramel blend, I find it to be smoother. Enjoy!

I don’t normally purchase flavored tobacco. Long ago I did try my share of RY4s and other vanilla, lemon and other flavors mixed with tobacco. All were ok, but I always went back to just tobacco. I can say that I will be buying more of the RY4. It’s not too sweet and compliments the tobacco flavor. I only wish they would also make it in 70/30. One thing I don’t agree with is, they seem to categorize 50/50 for non-sub ohm and 70/30 only for sub ohm devices. I also noticed whenever there is a sale, it’s only for 50/50. I don’t know if it’s related or not, but it would be nice if they just let the user decide. I actually prefer 70/30 on my non sub ohm devices. Getting back to the RY4, I also noticed that the White Note line is only available in 50/50. It’s not a deal breaker though, still an excellent 5 star juice that I would purchase again.

This has become my go-to vape liquid. I do switch w/the Cavendish still so I won’t get accustomed to the taste, but I’ve had this for 2 weeks now & it has become one of the best vape juices I have ever tasted (see my previous review for the excellent flavour profile). Truly fantastic taste. I don’t know how to describe it but it has very nice aromatic roasted nuts flavor with touch of mild sweetness.
It is a 50/50 blend and although it’s not recommended for sub-ohm use, I found that it actually works best with my Smok Novo2s 0.8 ohm pods. I’ve tried it with the compatible 1.4 ohm pods (both, MTL and Quartz pods) and yet the 0.8 ohm works best with all the WhiteNote Blends I purchased so far.
I’m so glad BlackNote came with this line of flavors because the original BlackNote tobacco blends (besides the Menthol which I love) didn’t do it for me at all.
