I got this with my very first order, as a sample to try. It was a 10ml sample bottle. I can’t thank Black Note enough, for sending for us to try. My husband loved it so much, he blew right through it in no time. I merely only got to sample it, cuz he ran off with it, but, from what I sampled of it, it was delicious. It is a very smooth, clean taste. If you like Prelude & Forte, you will love this one. It is the in between of those two flavors. If Forte is a bit too harsh for you, & Prelude is a bit too weak, Quartet is for you. I do not think anyone could be disappointed with it.

Wow – the closest to the real deal I’ve tasted
I quit smoking last New Years, and have exclusively vaped BlackNote products since then. I started with the original Notebook, then started regularly using Bravura and Sonata, both of which have a light, sweet, hint-of-fruit fruit flavor. The team at BlackNote sent me some samples over the year, most recently of Quartet, and I have been buying it ever since. It really does taste like a pipe, but with none of the sticky, fake, cloying flavor I get from friend’s rigs when they use artifically flavored “tobacco-like” juices. This stuff just tastes good. Not sweet at all, not like the other juices I like from BlackNote (I still order Sonata on the regular) – this tastes like tobacco, peppery and warm and complex. At first, I wasnt sure if I would enjoy it, having been used to the sweeter flavors… I kept thinking “I’ll pour this back, switch the coil, and go back to the Sonata… let me just take one more puff.” And then one more, then one more, then I loved it, then it was all gone. Its got a unique and robust flavor, a very mild but pleasant aroma, and since it doesnt gunk up your coils it holds that flavor for days. Highly recommended, especially if you are trying to quit the real deal…. Ive gone from a pack a day to a pack a month or less, and owe BlackNote a tremendous amount of the credit for that.

Not For Everyone
I have been vaping Prelude and Forte for a year, and love them both. I had the opportunity to sample Quartet and was pleasantly surprised. First thing you notice is the deep dark color….somehow you know that this isn’t going to be a mamby-pamby flavor, and it isn’t. It has a distinctive smokey “note” along with a slight bite of pepper/spice on the inhale, but those two features magically meld together into a much milder exhale that is very satisfying. This isn’t for everyone, and I wouldn’t use it as an “all day” vape…but it’s great after a meal, and with coffee. It’s a great change of pace, and something I will keep in my inventory.

It’s growing on me
A sample bottle of Quartet was included with my order- which was a very pleasant surprise. My first impression was not very good. I mean, I didn’t completely dislike it, but something about the aftertaste was off putting. I would give it a try here or there, but it was not a taste that I seemed to find enjoyable. Prelude and Forte were the two I kept coming back to.
Except there have been times that I’ve noticed they have felt a little too light or sweet and not satisfying… after my morning coffee or after meals. I decided to give Quartet a try at those times, when I felt the need for… a deeper, earthier taste… and this morning, after my coffee, I decided to go with Quartet, and that deep, earthy, almost musky taste was actually quite enjoyable. Encore was our favorite and we really miss it. We now enjoy this flavor and it TOTALLY satisfies. From Prelude to Sonata & Now to Quartet
As the title states, I have gone through these different ones, each are good in their own right but Quartet has it for me. While it is the priciest of the bunch, it is so damn good that I enjoy it through and through. With others ( like Prelude ) you get to that point where I was like eh, ok let me relax from it to enjoy it again. With Quartet, I consistently have been enjoying it.

Smooth yet smoky. Complex and peppery. This is what I would consider a treat. This is an after dinner vape either with Colombian coffee or a VSOP congac. I choose to pair it with Patron as the complex flavors of both enhance each other. This is not my all day vape. That would be Sonata or Legato. But this should definitely be in your repertoire of Black Note e-liquids. I was sent a sample of this with an order and I will be ordering a 30ml bottle of this. I could have had a new favorite flavor. I really like the boldness of this juice, with it’s peppery flavor, but the finish had a weird burnt taste to me. I though maybe my coil was fried, but when I change out me juice it was fine. Forte is still my favorite.

I’m still experimenting with the flavors and nicotine levels. I tried this one at 1.2 and found that it was a little too strong for me. I’ll try a lighter version next time.

I enjoy this as one of those blends in where you take a moment with or without a very very good cup of freshly ground african coffee, or an adult beverage. Sit and enjoy it’s earthy dry fuller body. Not an all day blend- for my taste.

Finally!
I’ve been vaping for about eighteen months, before that I was a veteran cigarette smoker. Two packs plus a day for over twenty years. Since I started vaping I have always been looking for that tobacco taste. The idea of vaping banana cream pie never appealed to me. I love banana cream pie, but I don’t want to inhale it!
That said, Blacknote has done something special here. I’ve been vaping their products for a little over two weeks now, and I have finally completely quit smoking. The last cigarette I had actually tasted bad compared to this! It was flat, unsatisfying, and tasted like smoke more than anything else.
Quartet starts off spicy peppery but finishes smoky. A wonderful, rich, complex flavor. I’ve been vaping it for four days now and each hit just gets better! Peppery always stays there on top, but one gets used to it. Once that happens, the other more subtle flavors come out to play on your taste buds. Just an unreal vape.
It really is like a great symphony. Each time one hears a great piece of music they can get something new out of it. The same is true for Quartet. One gets something new out of it time and time again.

WOW!!!! This flavor is Truly bold & you will not taste another like it… Perhaps not for every individual, but for me its well worth the extra spend! At $39 this liquid is not cheap but neither is Caviar nor is a great Cuban Havana Cigar. You will not find another flavor taste out there like this one… It has a bold Cigar leaf like flavor on the inhale, & a mild peppery smoky type flavor on the exhale… A great flavor to vape while socializing with friends at a party, or perhaps at your local Texas Holdem card game or for whatever occasion… After Every draw, your senses will be tantalized looking for the next draw… It is definitely one I enjoy & I find myself looking forward to the next fill up… I have 8 Black Note flavors in my rotation, for me this one & Adagio are my social flavors!

Earthy
I am not sure about this one yet, so I might be editing my review later. After 5ml I can say it’s got a very deep earthy flavour and also loads of smokiness. I guess it’s not something I’d like to vape all day, but I can picture myself taking some deep puffs along with a pint or after a nice meal. As all Black Note eliquids, it’s got a unique quality and taste which is difficult to be found elsewhere. The reason for the 4 stars is the fact that I can’t see myself vaping this on a regular basis.

Definitely the most unique of all the Black Note liquids I have tried. I actually quite enjoy it but would probably find it too much flavor wise as an everyday vape. I would reorder though and use it on occasion for something different.

Quartet’s flavor does not appeal to me but others like it. If you are curious it is worth a try. It vapes beautifully as to all of Black Notes offerings. I preferred the limited edition of Encore as it had a sweeter taste that was still unique from the other blends, I hope they bring that one back.

Not for me

Worth the wait!
Upon finding Black Note and soon after my first taste of amy of their liquids, I immediately made them
my primary source of liquid. I was a bit put off, at first, at what I thought to be high prices, but my first taste served to more than justify the pricing! I tried all but the menthol, saving the Quartet for last. I was, once again, not dissappointed! Quartet is an amazing flavor, with great throat hit. As a former long time pipe smoker, who exclusively smoked English type tobaccos rich with Latakia, I doubted that the flavor could accurately be experienced via liquids and vapong – I am delighted to admit that I was very wrong! Vaping Quartet was much like enjoying a great English blend pipe tobacco in a favorite Dunhill pipe! The bold Latakia flavor came through magnificently, but totally smooth! I could close my eyes and easily imagine that I was emjoying my pipe again! While Quartet will not be my all-the-time liquid, it will probably be a once a day treat, from now on. I don’t see how it could be better!

Yes, I previously reviewed Quartet the same day I vaped it and gave it high marks. Black Note juice is wonderful stuff and I’ve left good reviews for each in turn. My last order was going to be one Quartet and one Bravura, as I have yet to try the latter. To cut to the chase, I ordered two Quartets. There is no question that this is and will remain my all day vape. Is it worth the extra cost? Oh yeah! It’s an amazing blend. I do vape other Black Notes, but it isn’t long before I HAVE to turn to Quartet.

They arrived today – I had ordered sonata, Encore, forte and Quartet, as well as receiving 10ml free samples of legato, forte, sonata and prelude; a Black Note cornucopia! As Close to Latakia As I’ve Tasted
If you’re a fan of latakia, you’ll probably enjoy this. It’s not as complex as a pipe blend would be, but it’s so very tasty. Smoky and it still has a bit of that x-factor that you have from latakia. So good. For me it’s definitely worth the extra 10 dollars.

Puzzling
At first vape smoky , spicy with a taste reminiscent of wet socks . A half of a bottle later smoky, spicy and either I have developed an affinity for the flavor of wet socks or this stuff is really good ! It has knocked Prelude to # 3 . I got this liquid as a Birthday gift. I didn’t believe the taste of Syrian Latakia could be captured in a vape liquid…was I wrong! This is velvety smooth and bursting with flavor. It’s not strong, but it makes its presence known. Real nice change of pace from my regular Black Note rotation of flavors. Well done!!!

Exquisite Flavor
Probably not the best for every day all day use, a bit strong with a very pleasant aftertaste. But the flavor is fantastic. A bit smoky with distinct juniper and pine notes. Stronger hit than most other Black Note flavors, but extremely pleasant tobacco feel, a real thing! One of the best ever tried of any brand.

Sometime last year, I emailed BlackNote asking them to do a Syrian Latakia juice. At that stage it was not planned, so I was thrilled to find it had come to fruition. Syrian Latakia is normally used in oriental and English pipe tobacco blends and favoured for its campfire and peppery taste and really is the king of tobacco. I have to say I was surprised that this really has those qualities, as I didn’t believe they would really transfer to a vape. But wow, this is a great one. For ex cigarette smokers, this juice will deliver the closest smoke like quality you will ever find, believe me – I have tried many. For ex pipe smokers there is that wonderful nostalgia to some famous blends. I think this will suit the new smoke quitter, as it has a real smoke taste, for the experienced vaper, this will be one to savour.

This is truly amazing! When I was a smoker, I didn’t smoke gummy bears or raspberry cheesecake. I smoked tobacco. Because I loved it. Surprisingly Delicious
My friend first got himself a 30mL bottle of Quartet, I had already fallen for Prelude, but was of course willing to try a Black Note e-liquid. My initial thought was it was going to be too strong of a flavor and taste for my palette but again, Black Note found a way to make an amazing and smooth e-liquid. I cannot say enough good things about the products this company produces, sincerely they are my favorite.

Not Latakia
I picked up a bottle of 6 mg Quartet a while ago and have tried it in e-cigs and a tank/mod at about 15W. It has a pleasant enough flavor, but I feel a bit ripped off as there is not a hint of Latakia flavor in it (pipe smoker here, I know Latakia and this isn’t it), and only modest “smokiness” if you use your imagination. So I give it 3 stars for decent flavor.

As a long time pipe smoker and cigar aficionado, I have to say this is really a good thing. I am not “vaping” to quit smoking or for any other reason than to just enjoy clouds of smoke and tobacco taste. I ordered mine (twice) with zero nicotine and I really feel like I am enjoying Latakia tobacco. My only grudge is that Black Note isn’t offering a PG free version. Hopefully they will hear my request. Do yourself a favor, if you like to smoke because of the flavor…this is it.

Truly The Best in the World !
After forty years of smoking every thing from my dad’s cigarettes as a kid to the best cigars , I have found a world class vape.I have spent thousands of dollars on tobacco e-juice both natural and chemical and nothing is as satisfying as Quartet. The rich smokey and spicy fulfilling flavor of Quartet along with good vapor production makes it the best of the best ! The price point is of no concern to me, this is a after a long hard day, relaxing and rewarding vape for the evening. I just bought 30 bottles to put in my freezer.
